I’m confused here. If you want 7km eggs, why don’t open gifts until you get one the next time you hatch an egg?
I hate the 7km and 12km ones, never get anything good, and especially with the event coming up I’d love to ditch basically all my eggs.

Everytime I have an egg slot open I always do something dumb to immediately fill it with an egg I wasn’t wanting at the moment.
Me: gets an open egg slot Sunday night
Me: wants the Monday adventure sync egg on Monday
Me: spins a poke stop on the way work 🥴😑😝
They probably will never add that feature, they just want you to buy incubators
Why are you trying to discard that is wasteful just hatch my guy you never know what your going to get 😉
They put profits over people so that will never happen. They should give us a perma super incubator for hitting level 50, though.

Have you linked up the adventure sync? Seems to do something very optimistic, I seem to get an egg hatched every day no matter what I do.
How I wish they could do that… Every time I empty a slot for a 12km (collecting them to hatch together for stardust) the moment it hatches I get an egg 5 seconds later.
i would give my left nut for this, i fucking hate getting 2/5 km eggs, 12/10 km eggs are the best

Yes the ability to discard eggs would help you, no Niantic isn’t going to do that, you could probably be a lot more strategic about your egg handling.
If you are trying to not buy incubators for events:
– focus on using your infinite incubator on anything that isn’t a 2k between events. The goal is to have only 2k as your ineventour so that you can easily rotate them out during an event. It’s a lot easier to do an extra 18km during an event to get 9 more 7k eggs than it would be to an extea 90k.
– Save any incubators you get for these events.
– make sure you open gifts immediately until you get a 7k after each hatch.
I haven’t gotten any incubators in a long time and never buy hatching boxes. Yet I have more than I can reasonably use legitimately walking during events I care about.
I mention the third because that’s the only explanation for a 12k in your main slot. Nothing forced you to do a team leader while you had a slot open. Open gifts, wait for the next day and/or don’t spin stops if you are serious about getting a 7k there.

I would love to have all those 10km eggs. If there was a way to transfer them I’d take them all off your hands. Each one is a shot at my shiny riolu.
Meanwhile, I’m beyond jealous of this inventory. I live super rural, and rely on gifts from a bunch of people I’ve friended to sustain item income in between trips into town (a half hour trip). So I tend to get clogged up with 7 km eggs, many of which to me are Pokemon I just don’t care about compared to the 5, 10, or 12 km eggs. Also got health issues and the area nearby is not exactly conducive to walking, so I definitely pony up for incubators from time to time just to try to keep inventory clear for when I do happen to be in town.

Level 100 award needs to be a infinite super incubator. That’s all I’m saying.
But then you wouldn’t feel forced to buy overpriced boxes.

I think the best way of fixing this issue with eggs is to make all of them have only 1 way of getting – like the 7km. At the moment it’s too random on the 2km, 5km and 10km.
2km – Pokestops
5km – maybe PVP?
7km – Gifts
10km – Gyms
12km Rocket Leaders
This way it’s your own fault if you end up with a bag full of 10km Rocket that you don’t want

Or at least they could make incubators attainable without spending real money. Good start would be removing the idiotic 50 coin per day limit from pokemon gyms. What’s the point of defeating ten gyms if you’ll get the same number of coins as defeating one?
That’s what i’m saying. My other account barely has any incubators, yet I have 12 eggs. They don’t wanna lose money, I get it, but they could probably find a way to maintain money while enabling the feature.
