Well, Link’s Awakening DX was a day one release for the Game Boy app, even though the remake exists. I don’t think availability of the originals completely negates the possibility of the remakes coming out.
I believe that was an old listing referring to Miitopia, but it would be very based if they were allowed to port Ever Oasis to switch. That game was BURIED on the 3DS. It could be described as Arabic Medieval in style, and the outfits were very pretty.
Not fully relevant but what order should Ages/Seasons be played in? Brand new to Zelda
Maybe it’s an all new 2D Zelda? I know it’s weird as hell but I’ve wanted that for a while.
I always thought it would be something different. Golden Sun, Ever Oasis, Mario RPG, or there was heavy rumors for a while of a HD2D Link to the Past the remake. I would think all of which are possible.
Idk, but I need more 2D Zelda in that art style. Links Awakening remake is probably my favorite game on the Switch. The art and music is beautiful.
I hope not. I want to see them do other stuff than zelda remakes. Ever oasis was kinda dead on arrival coming out when the 3ds was almost done. Would be nice to see a new IP with backing from nintendo
My dream is a third oracles game. I believe it was in the works back for GBC, but never got made.
Ages and Seasons are related to Nayru and Din, but the third goddess, Farore would clearly be the relevant goddess.
As for the game mechanic, I have no idea. But a oracles type game with the Links Awakening engine would be fresh and worth the full price, and having the originals on NSO means people who want to just play the originals are happy.
Just spitballing here, but could it be for Fire Emblem?
Mercury Steam got to make Metroid Dread after doing such a great job with Samus Returns, it’s not a huge leap to think Grezzo might be doing a brand-new 2D Zelda.

I have been praying for a remake of Link to the Past since playing the Links Awakening remake. LTTP using the LA engine would be sublime.

I really doubt this is what it is, but “medieval, stylish game” sounds like Tri-Force Heroes. I doubt it’s a remake or direct sequel, but I think a new multiplayer Zelda game that expands and improves on Tri-Force Heroes would make a lot of sense for the Switch (and Grezzo since they made the original).

I thought that links awakening would never drop to the nso service since they want to sell us a remake from 2 or 3 years ago, and it happened, they release the old links awakening. So with that precedent I have high hope that any other game may come as a remake
I don’t think NSO updates are indicative of anything at all. They just are games that are available on the platform, that’s all.
That being said, stylish doesn’t scream Zelda to me. I was hoping there’d be a unified Oracle remake with a somewhat extended finale before you fight Ganon, but that was probably never in the cards anyway.

If they do another remake please make it Four swords adventure. It’s one of the best Zelda games I’ve ever played and barely anyone else has played it since it’s stuck on the GameCube and needs so many gbas and link cables to make it possible.
maybe it’s link between worlds. it’d be nice to have a version of that that isn’t dependent on weird hardware
I can still see it happening. At least for the Oracle games. Minish Cap wouldn’t benefit from a remake I feel. That being said, I’m having a hard time seeing the Oracle games get the remake treatment solely because of how they were a package deal. I’m not sure if they would relish the idea of working on two games simultaneously, remakes or not.
Maybe it’s a new game in the style of Zelda’s classics like A Link Between Worlds was on the 3DS.

if links awakening is on GBC online, there’s no reason to jump to any conclusion regarding the other 2D games getting remakes
I am hoping for new 2D Zelda or remake.
My guess, Grezzo are working on a full on remake of OOT to release early into the next consoles lifecycle. Not as a launch title, but something later into the console’s first year.
I want them to convert their 3DS version of Ocarina of Time (might as well throw in Majora’s Mask too) in HD on Switch. Make it happen Grezzo!!
I’ll also settle for Ever Oasis 🙂

The original Link’s Awakening is on NSO in spite of the remake. I don’t think it says anything about the possibility of Oracle Remakes.
I would kill for an all new 2D Zelda game. The minish cap is one of my favorite games and I just need more like that.
