Love all these demos they’re releasing today! Sea of Stars looks gorgeous.
Super pumped about this game for the soundtrack alone. Cool to finally have a release date!
I keep forgetting it’s meant to be a prequel to The Messenger.
This game gives me golden sun vibes. I will check out the demo
This game looks so fantastic, finally a release date!
I’ve backed this game on kickstarter a few years ago and to finally have a release date is exciting! I don’t have a switch though so all you guys better download the demo and jump in for me!
So stoked! Backed for a physical copy early last year. Cannot waot. Comes out a week after my bday too!
This is a day one pickup. However, I have no desire to play the demo. I want to go into the game comepletely blind on release day.
any word on if the demo will carry over to main game?
So, playing the demo right now. I’m loving it so far, feels like a ps1 jrpg in a modern package. Reminds me of Breath of Fire 4 which I loved so much as a kid.
A few criticisms tho:
– Some combat mechanics need to be explained more thoroughly, like the boomerang skill that can be bounced repeatedly when pressing a (on the switch). I figured it out on the next try, but it should be clear from the get go.
– I picked up a few items from the ground but the UI only showed an icon and a number (icon x1). Imo it should at least indicate what I picked up. I had to open my bag to find out it was a few potatoes.
Other than that this looks really good. Looking forward to it.
So this is the supposed game that carries the torch of Chrono Trigger. Definitely looks the part with how long it’s been baking in the oven. Got a good feeling about this one
Surprised this isn’t higher up. Looks incredible and The Messenger was great.
Been waiting for this game, nice to get some more info
Another six months…
Demo is good. The pixel art is beautiful. My only nitpick was I wished the characters moved just a tiny bit faster.
Really enjoyed the demo! I couldn’t figure out how to block attacks though, could never get the timing down. And in some cases I had a hard time telling which of my party members was going to get attacked.
Played the demo tonight and this is now one of my most anticipated games this year
Just finished the demo. Day 1 for me. Mitsudas track playing in the inaccessible location is amazing. GOAT composer imo.
Anyone managed to get into this ”hidden” shop mentioned at the end of the demo?
Edit: found it!
Could someone tell me, is this game related to golden sun or has similar play style? In my eyes they looks super similar
Just took a look at the Steam Community page for this game. People are *pissed* that this demo is only on Switch.
I’m not one of them, I love the fact we’re getting a demo at all. Proud Kickstarter backer.
I hope this gets a physical release. Not from any of the Limited Run Games type places, just someone who can get it on shelves.
Demo looking great
I backed this game forever ago had to check cuz i forgot it existed, glad it turned out well.
Demo was really fun, and the visuals are STUNNING. My only complaint is that there seems to be very little feedback on if you time your button presses correctly? I could NEVER tell if I timed an attack right, or if I blocked and mitigated damage. Maybe I’m missing something, hope I am.

Anyone else feel like attack animations are a bit slow? I only watched a bit of the demo so I’m not sure if there’s a battle speed setting. Definitely a day 1 buy for me regardless
Really enjoyed the demo, I don’t know if I need to play with my Switch’s brightness settings though, the Wizard cave was kind of hard for me to see in on a non-OLED Switch. I already planned to pick this up due to Mitsuda’s involvement, but the demo was fun, stylish, and intuitive to me in its controls, so no doubt will be a day one purchase for me.
I’ve been looking forward to this since they announced it and this demo only increased my excitement!
I played the demo and it looks and feels great and fresh. I’ll have to wait til the full game releases to decide whether to buy it though since I know the Messenger included a weird “assume your gender”-type joke and reference to Jordan Peterson. Needless unfunny political references I don’t agree with.
It’s demo.time this weekend. The year has begun.
