Enjoy Upsmash and cheap shine gimps for an eternity of Melee !

  2. Here’s hoping we get a Star Fox game for the switch

If I were Imamura, I’d feel slighted. One of Nintendo’s most well known IPs and it hasn’t been touched since the Wii U. At least Donkey Kong got the port a few years ago.

And if Nintendo is afraid to touch the IP because of Zero’s poor sales, that’s ridiculous. Blaming the game’s poor sales on the IP is incompetent. It should be obvious that the poor hardware sales are to blame.

Give Fox and crew a chance again. There are still plenty of innovative ideas for this IP.

EDIT: An easy win for Nintendo and the IP would be to give Starfox the No Man’s Sky/Starlink/Starfield treatment. It’s a genre that would easily fit with the Star Fox combat mechanics but also giving the games a breath of fresh air.

Heck if you put in seamless planet landings and ground missions along with the classic space missions, it would be something real special.

Recently watched did you know gamings video on the Retro Studios internally pitched Star Fox game and it sounded amazing. Just ended up making me sad that it was never fleshed out.

  5. Regarding new starfox game, either make something truly novel, something that would elevate the IP or don’t bother.

Remakes of SF64 or Zero, the IP needs more than that tbh to make a comeback

  6. I hope we get an open world space game with missions and different worlds to explore. Doesn’t have to be insanely huge, just very immersive and fun lore.
