Highly looking forward to starting this tonight. Absolutely adored the first one and it looks like they stuck very closely to the original formula which is what I hoped for.

Debating between getting it on switch for the portability that I probably won’t take advantage of, or get it on PS5 for the slight improvements that I probably won’t notice lol

I’ve already poured 5 hours into this today alone, finished 4 different starting chapters, and can already say this game is soooooo good. Small QoL improvements from OT1, the same quality of music/graphics/aesthetics we expect, and really good writing.
Just in a few first chapters I am 100% engaged in the stories and curious how they pan out.
Combat is mostly unchanged except for the addition of Latent Power, which is a good thing; helps spice up combat with cool effects that are tougher to plan like regular breaks.
Can’t get enough of my rootin’ tootin’ cowboy robin hood.

OK I have the game and after playing it for a while.. Here are my thoughts if you didn’t like the first game.. You won’t like this one, there is new stuff, the writing is better I guess (tho I guess I felt more I love with the characters of the 1st, let me finish this one and see), and it looks way better but it’s kinda more of the same, so if you liked the first octopath like me, damn this is another great game, if you did not, that’s not gonna change, and if you haven’t played non, try the demos… Even if 2 has some great improvements ot1 still holds some weight with some stuff.
