Unable to watch at the moment but I broke and bought it. I think I said it was too much before but here I am watching it download on my switch.

So lets hope that the rumors are true and someone out there is porting MP2 and MP3 to the switch. Motion controls are not my thing and at least MP2 had normal GameCube controls. But after playing MPR with dual stick, I need to experience the next two games again with this control scheme. Especially MP3. I enjoyed MP3, but honestly I got tired (literally from holding my hand up) of the motion controls really quick. Might be the only Metroid game I’ve never 100% completed. But I for sure will enjoy that game with some dual stick action.

It kind of hurts that they went so HAM on the marketing campaign for this game, and giving us all these overview videos etc, and all to find out that they undersupplied the release of the physical copy and you can’t find it anywhere to buy.

If only I could find the physical one…2 Walmart, 3 targets, 2 best buy, 1 gamestop, and none have it :/ this was one of the first T rated games my parents let me play, along star wars clone wars (gamecube, not the animated one,the live action looking one with the arena battles) so I want to replay it again and I hate digital stuff. So many digital movies and music I’ve lost because “hey we are shutting our site down, so sorry, bye” physical > digital.

I played this game on GCN as a kid and then played through it in Wii U eight years ago but I don’t think I fully appreciated it until playing this remaster. They did an incredible job with it, bringing the areas to life in a way that looks fantastic without changing the art style or atmosphere of the original.
Insane that the game is 20 years old. It’s easy to see how many games it influenced although all these years later I’m not sure there’s anything else quite like it.

The female narrator here was just too dang cringy. I mean Nintendo has had such a major issue with that with a lot of their Switch games but I couldn’t even get through a half minute of the video with this broad. They would’ve just been better off having used the Japanese narrator and have subtitles on the bottom.

I just got this today, never played the originals since, I was always a fan of 2d metroid and not fond of shooters…man Ive been missing so much

This to me will always be the one game that was truly best on Wii with the Wii controller.
You just can’t mimic how fun it was to pretend you actually had the arm cannon.
