Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania – trailer but do I need to beat the game in order to just play the Castlevania part

I just want to play the Castlvania part. I never played Dead Cell but I hear it’s rouge like which doesn’t excite me.
Will the Castlevania DLC play like Castlevania? Do I need to beat Dead Cell game to open this DLC part? In the trailer, One Last Surprise, I wish they would sell this part as a stand alone game.
You don’t need to beat the game first.
Can you buy the dlc separately
You don’t really… “Beat” Dead Cells
It sure beats you a lot though
Secondly it is Castlevania themed but still built around Dead Cells. So imagine Castlevania on a near lethal dose of cocaine. With a bit of PCP in there.
You’ll have to wait for it to come out to know how it works.
They haven’t done any DLC quite like this before.
If I had to guess, I’d say they’re going to add a door in the starting area that you can enter to go to Castlevania, as a separate quest, because nothing in the trailer looks like the main game except Alucard in the starting area.
It does have a continue mode and modular difficulty changes to such a degree that you can literally not die if you don’t like the idea of roguelites. But then you are paying for what is probably 30 minutes of content if you don’t engage in the roguelite loop of repeatedly playing the game.
But eh, you do you.
Does anyone know if this is Switch exclusive or will it come to other platforms as well?
We do not deserve dead cells.
This is insane.
It kinda sucks ’cause it might take up to 20 hours of failure to reach your first ending. This is why I hate roguelites, such requirements should never happen for DLCs.
It says that there are 3 Bosses in this DLC so it is safe to assume that you can either go the Castslevania Biome right after the first area or maybe they will make make it so it start straight form the Castlevania Biome and forgo the first location.
