If the amount of money required to play this game matched the amount of fun I had, I would gladly pay. But when the events are lackluster, bonuses either suck or is absent, and I feel like it's more of a chore than a good time, my money stays in the pocket. At least until they make the game fun again.

What makes this stupid is that they are teasing this as "Season long" research. Really? Catch 50 pokemon? Hoopa special research was season long.
I'd probably buy if there would be more pages and some actual challenge/encounters etc.
Researches like this, that give extras not essentials are the way to go for paid research IMO. Facts are Niantic is a business and needs to make $$. This is a good way for them to offer us extra IF we choose and NOT take away from those that CHOOSE not to partake. This type of special research is what should be offered, it's a pat on the back and good on ya from me.
