My Ash won the Indigo cup, I don’t accept the decision about disqualifying Charizard for ‘not fighting’, it was bullshit.

About 15-20 years late lol

I might try to watch his finale. Anyone want to recap everything since the end of the Johto era?
orcawhales
why even bother after so many years.
Hoosteen_juju003
These aren’t his final episodes though. The final episodes are literally still airing in Japan. There are actually still 25 episodes to air before it gets to the final 11 series currently airing in Japan.

While Ash would be retired as the protag, it’s entirely possible that he might still make cameos here and there.
FLYK3N
Now Ash will finally get to grow up after being damned to 25 years of limbo.

I don’t care what anyone says, Ash is one of the top shounen protagonists for me. The decision to have the hero LOSE the “final” challenge of the (original) show, even after heart alone was enough to get him there, was brilliant. It shows kids the truth, that trying is more important than winning. And that even if you try your hardest, you may still lose, but the real ones will stick around. A wonderful hero for a beautiful show.
Rest in peace, Ash. You were truly the best of us.

Bro has been 10 years old since I was 4, and now I’m 31.

Ash is what every employer is looking for: a 10-Year-Old with 25 years experience.

Wait it’s actually over?
No more Ash?

Were there any series worth watching after Indigo League?
I was surprised how much I liked Indigo League as it didn’t take itself too seriously / was amusing.
I tried some others and … oooh, they were super serious / it was hard to enjoy.
Imagine we don’t see him for a few years then he pops up in the Indigo League equivalent against the new protagonist. Would be pretty insane.
ecm208
So Ash is finally waking up from the coma?
Code2008
The article’s wrong anyways. The episodes only go up to Iris vs. Cynthia in the M8 Quarterfinals. There’s still another patch of episodes missing from Netflix. Additionally, Canada’s been airing the show on TV weekly and they’re up to the final episode of Ash vs. Cynthia.

I always found it odd how he hasnt aged in 25 years…

He died with that fugly redesign

Cheers to the boy who never grew up, Ash not Peter Pan.

>While the series will carry on through new characters, Ash Ketchum’s final episode in Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series hits Netflix in the U.S. on Feb. 24 after already airing in Japan. The Canadian air date has not been announced yet.
CBC, it’s airing on Teletoon (soon to be renamed Cartoon Network Canada). Also, the new batch of episodes don’t even finish the series.
an era will end it’s time to stop watch it finaly

Ash needs to do a heel turn. Really liven up the series.
mrjigglejam
Pokemon would have been way cooler if they aged him accordingly the whole time. Like he’s just this 37 year old dude fighting his animals against kids animals.
HardCorwen
Good riddance.

Ash hasn’t been Ash to me since his first design and voice actor changed. I was 10ish years old when the show aired and season 1 was the only one I watched and have any care for. 25 years is crazy.

The only reason we like ash is cuz of fucking Pikachu.

Even the Simpsons got cancelled eventually… in 2056, it’s kind of a shame they couldn’t make it an even 70 seasons or something, but it was well past its prime. At least PokĂ©mon has the decency to quit after only 25 years. /s

Thanks for all the good times 🫡
It was a fun journey, one worth taking
As a bystander, is it crazy that I think this won’t last? I’d say the TV protagonist is more well-known than the game one, by far. This is a character that (in addition to the little critters themselves) represents the absolute juggernaut that is Pokémon, that has a long, consistent history tied to many childhoods, has been a part of popular culture for decades, and is an icon itself, or in other words, there’s a lot of money in it.
Imagine we don’t see him for a few years then he pops up in the Indigo League equivalent against the new protagonist. Would be pretty insane.

He should catch Ho-oh before leaving.
Pikachu: “Don’t worry guys I’m still here.”
I’m not that big of a Pokémon fan, and even I know how big of a moment this is in pop culture.
End of an era. I’ll miss you, buddy.
new series soon starring Ash’s son Rock Mustaturd

They better not Velma the new Pokémon season….
When are they going to make Chansey the main character? It’s long overdue.
His story should’ve ended a very long time ago, imho.
