Here’s Wave 1 of the Mar10 Day sales. Runs from 3/10 at 12:00 a.m. PT to 3/23 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Not a great start in my opinion, especially since we have to sit through two weeks of this until Wave 2 shows up. Why not just put them all on sale at the same time? Nintendo’s marketing for this is wack.

These have all been on sale for almost a week now. Nintendo dropped the ball with the eshop discounts.

The ‘core’ Mario games will be on sale to overlap with the Mario movie’s release in a few weeks. This makes perfect sense. Nintendo will still probably find a way to make it all NOT make sense. But I think starting with these more ‘Mario adjacent’ games, then starting a Wave 2 of the core Mario titles about a week before the Mario Movie, seems like very well aligned marketing. I think ‘the awkward thing Nintendo did ™’ only doesn’t stand out because it ALREADY occured, and that is that March 10th would have been such an obvious choice for releasing the Mario movie. Alas!
He gets his own day and the sales are the usual we see. Why can’t it be an extra 10% from the norm?
I love literally all of the games on sale. I played them all when they first came out (except for Tropical Freeze). But dude these should not be $59.99 in 2023.
I know that’s Nintendo’s shtick but it’s hard to get excited about a $20 off sale when most games would already be discounted normally to an even lower price. Again though I love the games so if you haven’t played them I recommend getting them on sale.

Every time I see Mario Kart Live on sale it makes me wish I had space to really enjoy it
A couple of those I don’t have but the price being $40 instead of $60 does nothing to convince me to buy them

Nintendo has good games, but they are not nearly as good as the execs seem to think. I am a big nintendo nerd who just cant bring myself to purchase their games anymore at these exorbitant prices

These sales aren’t even good. These sale prices should be the base prices in 2023. They should be more like 80% at least given how overpriced they are at the default.
