Running laps around advance wars at this point.

  2. NotYetSoonEnough

Home girl just straight ran up and roasted dem conquistadors.

For the love of god, please stop having levels where enemies suddenly appear out of nowhere without warning, basically requiring every level to be played twice so you learn “the trick.”

I guess I should play my copy of the first game at some point before this comes out

I really liked the first game, but it was just way too hard. Missions took so long that failing felt devastating. And even winning just to get a 1 star rank felt pretty bad too.

  6. I hope they fix a few things for this:

    – Missions were too hard; I know you can adjust a few things to make it easier, but then you can‘t get all stars – meh.

    – Missions were impossible to plan; every one of them has a unique twist you need to learn the hard way, so you can’t make yourself a plan because you never know on first try, what is going to happen.

    – replaying feels like punishment; due to the first two points you needed to repeat missions often. But because they take so long it can get quite frustrating.

    – all factions played pretty much the same; I know it‘s hard to balance a game like this, but Advance Wars has done it a lot better imo.

Good to see that Wargroove is still doing well.

Awesome! I can’t wait. The first was a lot of fun

Considering I haven’t heard much talk about this one compared to other Indie games, I’m pleasantly surprised they’re doing a sequel.

Definitely planning on playing it though! 😀

  10. I really liked the first up to a point where the battles got so hard and took so long that my enjoyment was completely deflated. Spending 90 minutes on a level, for the third time, and getting to a turn where the enemy receives a bunch of reinforcements for some reason and defeats you was mind-numbingly infuriating. Your only options then are to restart the level over from scratch or turn it off. I chose the latter.

I loved the artwork, music, presentation, characters (the dog!) and fun side matches. The graphics looked great as well.

I liked the first one, but it didn’t have that punchy pacing that Advance Wars had. Hopefully this one does.

I adored the first game, but honestly my biggest issue was with how quickly its player base died off after launch, but I can’t really say that’s the fault of the developer.

I always wanted to play multiplayer with real-life opponents, but never really got the chance. I hope they find a way to make this version stand out in comparison to advance wars, because I think it simply has a lot of charm that Advance Wars doesn’t have. (Do disrespect to Advance Wars)

Also, the map editor was dope! It was absolutely insane how big you could make the maps too.

I’ll definitely be jumping on this. Loved the first one, in some respects more so than Advance Wars.

I never did finish the original, I found the story/missions weren’t great but multiplayer was fun with my boys.

I may consider this if the single player is better.

If it’s such a letdown like the previous one, I’m not going to bother.

I hope they learned from the weaknesses the first game has.
