Lots of value at this price. The game is a bit of a slow start, but there’s a lot to enjoy, and Hacker’s Memory is an excellent follow up to the main game.
If you are even slightly interested, I recommend taking a chance on it. This is definitely one of the stronger digimon games overall.

I barely play it on pc, but i know I’d have it on nonstop on the switch in handheld mode. Not sure about double dipping though

Wish I didn’t spent $35 on this.
I was never a huge digimon fan but like Monster tamer games so gave it a shot. It’s SO slow and has so much in it that’s left unexplained. I’ve played it for a couple hours on each storyline but half of that was fetch quests in the real world… I’m not even sure how I’m supposed to stumble into new digimon yet or how I ‘scan’ them. And apparently each of these games has a 40 hour campaign.
It’s a lot of game but feels like you’re already supposed to know a lot about it. So if you weren’t already a fan of the show I wouldn’t recommend it.

Good value at 10 dollars.
Bad value at full price. Game is a slog with too much back tracking and pretty lame stage/level design.
The story of the first game is Ok, but had too many random necessary side quests distracting from main story.
Story of the sequel was much better and more enjoyable.
Gameplay of evolving/devolving digimon a was a surprisingly fun puzzle.
Battle system was just ok. Kinda felt like piercing attacks were way OP, but boss battles were way too long without pierce attacks

$9.99 for two 80-100 hours games (180 hours total in my profile).
Kind of a steal actually if you like Monster Collecting RPGs similar to Megami Tensei with an elaborated (and unapologetically anime) story.
I liked Cyber Sleuth more than Hacker’s Memory. CS’s story felt more grand and everything was at stake, and I liked the characters more. While HM felt like a little personal story happening in the sidelines of the actual big event. Of course both games were great at the end of the day.

Only in the US? Can I buy this in Germany, too?

Is there anyway to change the Voice acting to English?

My biggest gripe of this series was that all battles were set in a blue, digital environment. Felt like I never progressed after dozens of hours.

Don’t know anything about it (did watch the show), but based on these comments — Slow story and japanese only? No thanks

How tough would this be for me to get into if I haven’t watched Digimon since I was young yet love these types of games?

Is this a good game?

I wish I didn’t buy this or waste time on it. I played for maybe 10-20 hours, can’t remember. The most boring, lazy dungeon design of maybe any game I’ve played. I tried to enjoy getting the digimon I liked the design of but I finally snapped out of the fever dream and realized I was straight-up not having a good time. Dollar store Pokémon.

Y’all are welcome, I waited for a year or so for this to go cheaper than $15 and finally gave in last sale lmao
JY369
I just might for $10. It’s been a looomg time since I played a digimon game
Myabyssalwhip
Great deal! I grabbed the physical edition when it was on sale for 19.99 and it definitely was worth it. So much good content!

I played about 20 hours of cyber sleuth. It was just okay tbh. Visually it feels more like a ps3 game or older. Mechanically it plays fine, but I found it wasn’t interesting enough for me to justify powering through the story. I found myself playing it just for the sake of playing once I got near the 20 hour mark.
It starts strong but gets repetitive. The areas you explore in the digital world all look relatively boring and samey, with some exception obviously.

This game felt like it shared a lot of bones with Atlus RPGs. You can tell they were heavily inspired by Devil Summoner by the character designs and progression systems

I’ve been considering starting digimon since forever, is this a decent jumping off point?
moltenman85
A lot of content in these two games. My introduction to Digimon and had a lot of fun with these.

Have wanted this game before, think it’s time to spend a lot of money since there are various games I want on sale atm
Suspicious-League460
Should I wait for it to drop even further in price?

Comparing with Digimon World, which is better?
OnlyTheBLars89
The games are twice as long as they need to be because each character reiterates what they are saying 3 damn times. I swear, such a wordy game.

How does this one compare to the Vita version?
