For anyone looking to play it. This is a very linear and hard game, but unlike Dread, it doesn’t have generous checkpoints. There’s no shame in rewinding or loading a save state if you find a Boss too hard and don’t want to spend 1 minute walking back to the room to fight it after death.
It’s so friggin good! 10/10 game!

I’ve been really excited for this one. I never did beat it when I played it on GBA and always wanted another crack at it. This game is the main reason why I finally decided to take the plunge on the expansion pack service. Looking forward to spending time with the game tonight!
Just finished this on 3DS this morning. Still holds up but probably not as good as zero mission.

Encouraging to see classic GBA titles getting pushed out like this, what with the old e-shop closing down this month though I really just hope they eventually go back to giving us the ability to purchase them individually outright. I don’t like the subscription model.

The drip feed method Nintendo has about regurgitating their back catalog to their consumers is hilariously pathetic. They have the roms collecting dust for years – just release Zero Mission along with Fusion and the rest of the big hitters on the GBA library. If their emulator is even half as competent as something like mGBA they can just release all the roms with no effort and just let their customers play the games they want.
Man, as a Metroid fan I feel like we went from famine to feast in the last couple years.

The SA-X taught me what true horror is as a kid as far as GBA games go. Definitely my favorite Metroid game followed closely by Dread.

As someone who absolutely loved Metroid Dread but has absolutely no patience for the original Metroid and Super Metroid… Is Fusion worth a shot? I’m not really a fan of the genre, but Dread clicked with me in a way other Metroidvanias like Hollow Knight didn’t.

Soooo just rushed through Fusion to unlock Hard Mode, actually read the wiki page properly to find out the JP version has Hard but NA doesn’t.
Does EU have Hard? Or maybe changing a setting somewhere?
