I have a Hori D-Pad controller, is it wider than a standard joy con then? I’ve never really noticed a difference just holding it.

    Nice!

Did you have to change anything about the slide release button on the back?

I have an old Mario version of this from 2018 and it has the raised trapezoid where the release button is that makes it not fit in TPU type cases.

I did similar thing for mine (Pikachu also) to fit a skull and co neo grip. Just had to use a Dremel to that back nubbin and fit in fine now.

Did you also modify the grip to fit the OLED?

The Zen Grip Pro designed for the OLED is also designed to fit the Hori D-Pad joycon.

  5. I actually broke my hori dpad because of the tight oled satisfye grip. It fit fine on the og switch and older satisfye. I might consider doing this because I loved the combo of satisfye and the hori dpad.

  6. Is there something wrong with the Zelda branded D’pad left joy con that is available?

TIL the mold is not identical to Nintendo’s controllers.

I bought one also for 2D games, but found it uncomfortable to play for long sessions because of the positioning. I still think Hori should have swapped the positioning with the stick.

  8. Is that the latest grip? As in manufactured to hold both the OLED and original switch? If not, look into that one. It’s wider to house the OLED; meaning it will house those controllers much easier.
