The words “Team go rocket” should be changed to “Pokémon Go” and then the statement would be a good one for Niantic after they annoyed so many people this week with making the changes despite community feedback.

The leaders each actually have a bit of “lore,” shown through their dialogue, Niantic’s Twitter, and other media. Looking into Cliff, he isn’t even actually that bad of a guy. [A trailer](https://youtu.be/-8x39A8wfX0?t=19) shows some images that imply he became homeless (house fire?), backed up by dialogue like “I owe the boss my life.” Presumably, that’s when he joined Team Go Rocket. Even after becoming acriminal leader he remained a compassionate/strong-hearted person. [The same trailer](https://youtu.be/-8x39A8wfX0?t=16) shows him giving a pep-talk to the male and female grunts, and [in 2020 he celebrated defeating the player with his grunts](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Cliff_(GO)#:~:text=%22Hahaha%2C%20what%20a%20great%20battle!%20Happy%20Team%20GO%20Rocket%20festival!%20Time%20to%20celebrate%20with%20my%20Grunts!%22).
