This is standard Epic Games behavior. Many other surveys for Fall Guys and other games have mentioned these kinds of IPs, but its usually just for inspiration.
I’ve always wanted to shoot Ash Ketchum

Epic Games attempted to include Samus Aran in Fortnite, but Nintendo refused to license the rights.
Ninty ain’t playing when it comes to IP, they know the value, they know not to diminish it.
Also mentions Zelda from the Legend of Zelda series.
The rumor around Samus was that Nintendo only wanted the skin on Switch, as in both usable and visible to other players. Naturally Epic says no, what’s the point of a skin if only one platform (and probably the one with the least amount of users) can view it?
So I’d say very low chance of this actually happening, unless Nintendo relaxed their rules (they haven’t lmao)
Nintendo would never even let samus hold a real gun
If they’re putting Xenoblade in Fortnite, the very least they can do is put some Xenoblade music in the game, too.
Don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun but it’s crazy to me that people still spend money on stuff like this.
As long as it makes you happy.
Pikachu…buddy…put down the gun… we can talk about this.
Pika pi….my sweet prince!
Fortnite tried to get Samus a while ago but the deal fell through cause Nintendo didn’t want the skin to appear on other platforms and just show up as a default skin
Epic wouldn’t agree to this however so the deal fell through
I can’t see Nintendo ever being ok with Mario or Zelda characters carrying guns. Maybe Samus one day.
I wouldn’t read much into it… it’s just standard questions to gauge what’s popular with people. Surveys do this all the time. For example, Universal Studios sent out one that asked about IPs people would like to see made into attractions and listed “The Office.”
Hear that, Noah? Tim wants something a bit meatier.
If there was a XC3 Collab….
Edit: if it wasn’t clear…. I’d throw all the money at fortnite to get everything for this Collab!
I want Reyn to hit that Yoinky Sploinky in Fortnite
If they added a Heisenberg skin to Fortnite that would be the funniest shit ever
Imagine killing a walking banana, Spider-Man, or Geralt as Noah/Mio and sending them off with a flute emote afterwards.
A Resident Evil 4 Remake survey asked me if I played Mario games, guess that means Mario content is being considered for RE4R DLC according to this post.
Keep Nintendo characters away from Fortnite at all costs. They’ve killed Infinity Blade, Rumbleverse, and Shadow Complex already.
No more.
They already tried to bring in Samus.
Nintendo wanted the character locked to switch (possibly similar to the Mario Minecraft crossover) and epic wouldn’t agree.
No Nintendo ip will appear in Fortnite.
They put these characters in surveys to gauge how many players what want they can’t have. Knowing what percentage of users want Nintendo characters is really useful even if they’ll never get them.
Pyra and Mythra on Fortnite would sell morbillion dollars
This reminded me of a strong rumor leaked from a reliable leaker some time ago that Epic tried to enter into a deal with Nintendo to bring Samus to Fortnite, but the deal fell through because **Nintendo wanted platform exclusivity** (and it was until more aggressive, only those who played the Switch version could buy the Samus skin and even worse, only those who played the Switch version could see it, if you used the skin but were playing with people from the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One versions, Xbox Series or Mobile **they would only see a default skin**) different from how it currently occurs where **you can use and see Kratos from God of War or Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn in the Switch and Xbox version.**
This makes a lot of sense because Samus was leaked along with Kratos and Chief (who arrived in the game a while later) in that document during the process between Epic and Apple and there was even a silhouette of Samus along with Ryu and Chun-Li. (which also made it to the game) in one of the Fortnite comics.
Honestly I think it would be amazing to have a Nintendo character in Fortnite, if you think about it that’s all that’s missing, not to mention that like it or not Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the whole world, **having Samus in the game would be excellent marketing to introduce the character to a younger audience.**
I have no interest in Fortnite but if I can roll up as Pikachu with a gun I might just find interest
no please god no
Crapic games needs to keep their hands off popular franchises. Heck, they need to just burn up and disapear.
