Don’t feel bad for not walking. What Niantic want is you to walk to places spin stops so that they can then sell their advertising data to those places. Circle k, starbucks, 7-eleven, McDonald’s, etc., they all buy your data from niantic.
The entire game is tracking to see where you will spend your money.
