Yet another unnecessary Bomberman title. What are they stripping out this time, local or online multiplayer? Maybe they’ll do something shocking and give us both for once. It’s truly astounding how little it takes to make an amazing Bomberman title but they’ll keep finding new ways to avoid giving a definitive all in one release.

I love Bomberman so much, and really appreciate Konami for not forgetting about him. Though I really hope we can see another game similar to 64, someday! I still think about that cancelled 3DS title…

Truly missing the single player
Bomberman 64: The Second Attack! is an absolute unit of fun for two players. Even had little brother mode for pommy. One of my favorite memories growing up is me and my best friend scraping 60$ to buy a copy off eBay. I love that shit.

I’ve never honestly understood modern Bomberman games. The gameplay just seems like such an artifact from the past. It was great a few decades ago I guess, but new paid games continuing to be released in 2023 is wild to me.
At best I could see some mobile versions existing. Or FTP with cosmetic micro transactions. But people are about to preorder this for $50??? And for Switch when it’s available on the other consoles and Steam which will all surely have more reliable online modes?
It doesn’t bother me. People can play what they like. It just confuses me that there is a big enough audience to keep making these.
