It really sucks that this is going to disappear into a private collection, this really belongs in a museum

Wasn’t this the plot of Uncut Gems? Seems like someone thought this was going to be their big break and it ended up being less than they’d hoped for.

The winner will probably just take Nintendos offer and pocket some serious dough.

It belongs in a museum!

Has the 1.2 been verified? Maybe the seller named it hoping for 900k.

I find it hard to believe that Nintendo doesn’t at least have one stashed away somewhere, if not 2-3, maybe some at Sony as well. I hope at some point these gaming companies (I know Sony does a lot of other stuff too) realize how important they are to the general culture and try operating or partnering with a museum to display their legitimate products that are important to history. A small pop culture section in a state museum with a copy of SMB3 and a Game Gear

Would any games even work on that thing?

Didn’t the onwer turn down 1.3 million dollars at first? Ouch

I thought it would sell for more

The most disappointing thing is that it’s probably going to disappear into some guy’s basement in a private collection, rather into a museum where it really should be.
