  1. Umm, the review links are for Bayonetta Origins…

  2. Hereiam_AKL

Is it just me or are the links all pointing to the Bayonetta reviews?

  3. Wow, CGM really didn’t like Bayonetta Origins.

  4. AstroFuzz

Had to follow the open critic link to see the actual reviews.. Looking pretty good so far.

Seems like fans of the original are enjoying it, at least according to Eurogamer and Six Axis.

  5. I’m still super excited for this, as much as if not more than Zelda and the Xenoblade DLC (and that was my GOTY last year)

    ***HOWEVER***

Even by Nintendo-published standards this online is weak AF. No matchmaking, friends only, 1v1 only. Even Days of Ruin had matchmaking 15 years ago, to my knowledge – admittedly never got the chance as I was too late to that title for the online scene, but that was in part why I was so excited for this.

And the nail in the coffin is no Asynchronous games. Meaning you can’t save an online match and come back later, you can’t have multiple games going at once.

Wargroove gets this right, fan-made projects like Advance Wars By Web and TinyWars get this right, and like I said even the DS games did more than this.

    What the hell gives?

…Again, still super hyped for this, but I guess I’ll be dusting my AWBW account off once I’ve polished off the single player content.

  6. bellowingdragoncrest

These are 2 of my favorite games, and I still emulate them all the time, but man I hate the new art direction.

  7. fender_fan_boy

About what I expected in terms of review scores. So excited for this one.

  8. Rarycaris

Do we have any word on whether the AI obeys fog of war rules in this game?

  9. JayZsAdoptedSon

Now the real question… Does this game follow the geneva conventions? Please my wife and 3 kids need to know

  10. UnknownHeroic

Solid to great reviews, glad to know, i played gameboy at the time, but im hype for playing again on my switch, my game list dont stop getting bigger is just crazy, and now they gona to launch Xenoblade 3 “big dlc ” and im still on Chapter 6 xDDDD

  11. pwnedkiller

I can’t wait for this it looks so good

  12. Dukemon102

Basically the 8/10 scores I was expecting (Basically any game that isn’t a famous tentpole gets that score).

I’m interested in seeing how online works, that’s the whole reason I’m hyped for the remake. I loved the two original games on GBA (My favorite tactical games ever), but no one wanted to play multiplayer against me….

  13. So the game doesn’t have online matchmaking? Bummer

  14. kdogg2077

I think I’ll wait until this is $40. That sounds about right for what I’m hearing.

  15. Between the extreme delay, controversial visuals, and ..ambitious pricing, I really doubt this will be the beginning of a comeback for the Advance Wars series, unfortunately. 🙁

Still though, I’m happy these games are getting a second chance, and the positive reviews make me confident I’ll enjoy it, at least.

  16. Roder777

Huh, pretty average it seems, pretty much what was expected

  17. Jarathen

I feel like it’s exactly what you’d expect, no more and no less, and that the value of such a game varies from user to user. I hope people discover these great games with the collection, but for me, I just like being able to play it on my most-played system, and the cost isn’t a huge deal, and in fact feels more fair than Kirby’s recent remaster.
