Nintendo Switch

Spiderheck is a great couch co-op game and is on sale at the lowest price ever ($9.74 @ US eShop)

I discovered Spiderheck last year and absolutely love it. It’s similar play-wise to boomerang fu or smash bros in that it’s an arena brawler style game where you try to be the last one standing. You are a spider, and you can wield all sort of crazy fun weapons including light sabers, rocket launchers etc.

You can play up to 4 players locally, which is what we mainly do, but it also It also has a fun campaign mode where you take on waves of mobs as well as online play. It doesn’t support cross play to pc/xbox/ps5 though.

It just went on it’s first significant sale on Switch so I wanted to give it a shout here in case there are others like me who really enjoy this type of game.

You’ve sold me on it. This looks awesome. Gonna buy it on this sale, thanks for the heads up.

I’ve been eyeing this game for a few months now. I don’t really have anyone to play games with and I don’t play online much so I still don’t know if it’ll be a good fit. Looks cool af though.

It’s super fun, but I’m old and it hurts my eyes 🙁

Spider slash. Spider kick! Spider kiss? Spider punch!

  5. The kids have been playing as a party game since it came out last year on Gamepass. It’s a lot of fun for sure.

If you’re a sound guy, this game is well worth the price of admission at $10. Not only is the gameplay slick as hell, but the sound editing and soundtrack by Professor Kliq is **tremendously** excellent. It’s a wonderful mix of breakbeat, electro house, and acid house that keeps the energy high.

How does the Switch version run? Is it behind the Steam version in content updates or anything like that?

Played thanks to Gamepass and thought it was 10 minutes of fun but couldn’t imagine buying it

    Great game!
It’s one of my Game Pass staples. I can strongly recommend.

Works really well with TV backlighting like the Govee T1 too!

My kid and I have put in countless hours playing the hoard mode co-op on this game. Definitely worth it.

This is the go-to for my twelve-year-old and I. Great combination of skill, tactical thinking and a little luck makes for some genuinely amazing moments.

    Best two-player couch co-op I’ve ever played.

  12. I’m always on the lookout for good couch multiplayer games and I loved Boomerang Foo and Towerfall, but I’ve also run into a few that were well reviewed but I disliked like Runbow and Heave Ho. Can someone comment if Spiderheck is more like the former two than the later two?

Are these the same people that made Stick Fight: The Game? Looks like their work. Either way, looks fun! lol.

How long is the co-op campaign? My wife and I don’t normally play competitive games, but we love couch co-ops.
