Wish I could turn it off with my controller and wish online expansion pack was worth the $$

This is very cool. I have never seen any of the other surveys as this is my first year owning a switch, but that joycon drift number is way higher than I imagined. But alas, aligns with my experience having 3 joycons out of 4 drift.
I also feel similarly about the expansion pack being too expensive for what it offers.
I play my switch less and less now that I have a steam deck but I’m happy to see so many are loving their switches and it’s still overall a great device. I doubt the steam deck would have come into existence without Nintendo rightfully recognizing handheld gaming is the future, so I’m grateful for the switch’s existence and all it’s done for gaming.

Hey u/cubechris, unless I missed it, there isn’t an entry for percentages of users who have installed CFW – I’m always curious to see that number across the years, do you still measure that? I’m pretty sure it was on the survey when I filled it out. Thanks for yet another interesting read!

I’d love to see people remake Final Fantasy tactics.

I’m also shocked coral is the least owned lite, it’s so hard to find in most stores.

“But being able to buy a game from desktop/laptop and have it automatically download to my console would be swell”
This is a function of the eShop on Desktop, not sure how they missed it.

Number 1 issue for me is the outdated hardware. Its not like i want a portable ps5/xsx, but something that can handle most games at 60fps with decent anti-aliasing etc would be nice. For a few years i was holding off even getting a switch at all, waiting for the rumoured pro model that never came, and eventually just bit the bullet and got the oled model when it came out. Having all 3 consoles its dramaticaly noticable going from the current gen consoles to the painfully out dated switch

The system has online invite feature that can only be used by like 2 games. You should be able to invite for every game
Party chat and messaging would be nice as well.
Achievements I’d love. Steam, xbox and PlayStation have them. Nintendo the only one that doesn’t

Yay, one of my detailed answer got quoted.

I think this joy con drift data is being interpreted incorrectly. The person who wrote this seems to think recent purchases indicate fixed versions of the device. I don’t think they ever fixed the device. I think recent models haven’t been in use long enough to suffer from the issue.
