    I was thinking about investing into Zarude since my best grass type is my 3100 katagami.

    Only use rare candy for ultra beasts, mythical and legendarys. It is a waste of rare candy to put it in a mon you can catch in the wild for candy.
    Go with mewteo. It is worth it even if it only gets a few cp per level, get mewtwo to level 40.
    Then… well one legendary after another. If you play pvp you get tons of rare candy especially when you use the tanking strategy. I level 1 legendary to level 40 every 1-2 weeks
