Not at the top, but Genesect is a decent bug type attacker, and not terrible as a steel type if you donāt have Excadrill or Meteor mash Metagross.
Edit: itās not bad in master League either, but you really want chill drive there.

Just me personally, I’d transfer this beautiful critter to HOME and then to a mainline game and enjoy it there. Genesect is one of my favorites to use in Sword and Shield.
Unfortunately, like all legendaries/mythicals, you have to have it registered in your Pokedex to transfer it from HOME to Sw/Sh. All you would need is someone to trade you a spare one and it’s unlocked for that save file. PoGos IVs transfer over to mainline games, so this would be a 5 perfect IV shiny (the speed IV is randomized when transferring, since there is no equivalent in PoGo, but that’s nothing a bottlecap can’t fix).
This may even carry weight in the trade community, as the only other legitimate shiny Genesects were distributed during a movie event during Generation 5 in Japan, Korea and Taiwan, and non shiny Genesects have only been distributed a handful of times. PoGo is the only way to acquire shiny Genesect and one of the very few opportunities to catch Genesect at all. I don’t speak for everyone, but I know that I’d offer several shiny legends for a shiny Genesect with 5 raw perfect IVs.
I know it’s a lot of me to assume you even play pokemon outside of GO, but if you do, I’d be happy to touch trade you a Genesect so you can use your shiny one.
