The first legendary Raid I played after the remote raid nerf, was something I was able to solo

It’s not the first Genesect I soloed, but an example of how limited I am because of the nerf. I only could raid it today, because it can be defeated alone and it’s like any player can do it. You need the best of the best counters against it.
But fact is : not all legendaries are soloable and we rely on other players to take them down and catch them.
But many, including myself, don’t have the active community for that. It was remote raids, that gave me access to the rare candies I invested in my shadow Moltres and Apex Ho-oh I used to solo Genesect. So the remote raid nerv now stops newer players from obtaining such strength, creating a even huger gab between newer and longtime players than it already exists.

You can still jump on one of the many apps and invite one other person or try campfire to see if there’s an active community you don’t know about. If your gyms are changing hands every day there’s people playing in your town you can find to do raids with.

This where PvP rewards really help. You can get as much or even more rare candy from PvP than you can get from raids, so that can help powering up legendaries to usable levels.

The problem of getting those legendaries still remains, but at least shadow Pokemon can take the legendary spots thanks to their extra attack.

So now more than ever building a good shadow team is the only way to get enough damage for raids. Before one had access to the stronger legendaries early thanks to hosting, but now it’s not that easy.

That screenshot makes me anxious just looking at that “1”

Campfire solves the issue. You can easily get 6+ people to do a raid, any time of day.
