I’m not really a new player, but I’m definitely more into collecting and shiny hunting than battling so I’m having a rough time with this.
So my current strategy is to use Slaking against the Persian, which did pretty much no damage but was fast enough to get off 2 heavy attacks and break the shields. Then, I used Magnezone to finish off the Persian using 1 heavy attack. I was facing Kingler, but I know this one can be switched up. In this case, I could get off 1 more heavy to almost KO him, but I always lose the Magnezone at this point. Then Mega Charizard to beat the Kingler and I can almost beat the Regice but I’m always a little bit of damage away.
I did try to beat him when he had Kingdra and got completely wrecked that time. Like could never get past the persian and kingdra.
On the Slaking I have Yawn and Body Slam. The Magnezone had Charge Bean and Wild Charge. The Charizard has Dragon Breath and Fire Blast, but I just added Overheat and haven’t had a chance to try that out.
I would love any ideas for how to improve my strategy, have 3 quests to beat him right now and have wasted 100 revives on this. I have candies for some of these, a little stardust (I did use some of this to power up the mons I already tried using so I’m a little low) and a couple Fast and Heavy TMs. I can share the moves I have on any other pokemon if someone thinks it’s worth it to switch that. I have other pokemon besides the ones shown, but I don’t have any of the recommended counters and I don’t have enough stardust to bring something up from level 1

Start with a pokemon that has a fast charge attack to burn shields. A fighting type is best because of Persians. I use Scrafty with Power Up Punch, but Lucario and Medicham are other good ones.
How do you have a shiny 3800 dragonite but only 6 Pokémon above 3000
