Recycling LG8 duos for Legendary Gauntlet 9 [Pokemon Masters EX]

I find some combos pretty effective against multiple LAs, so I’ll inevitably be repeating certain teams across different Gauntlet rotations. I noticed that some of the duos I’ve done for LG9 were also duos I did in LG8, so I figured I’d compile four of them in this video.

Did I go with this theme just so I could post my SS Wally clear that didn’t make it to the previous video? Perhaps. While I added Support Wigglytuff for the last rotation’s Latias clear (https://youtu.be/KiREkiWQLkQ) just so I don’t have to deal with the SS Wally solo, he definitely needs Wigglytuff here for the defensive buffs. That last bar was nerve-wracking but I’m glad Azelf took its time.

The Latias clear (https://youtu.be/KiREkiWQLkQ) for this duo was honestly quite difficult as it relied a lot on Marshal’s Staggering procs to do the work. This one is a lot easier, as while it also relies on Staggering procs, the flinches last long enough for just one or two procs to already seal the deal. Hop’s Defense debuffs are also very powerful here.

I’ve used this duo for the past two gauntlets, against Uxie (https://youtu.be/bhvn_FD8mXk) and Latias (https://youtu.be/d7TqpsiwONs), and I’m curious if I can keep up the streak for the next rotations haha. Lucian’s nuke is as ridiculous as ever, and his Attack debuffs and regen – along with Pikachu’s potions – make him a pretty good tank against Cobalion.

Sleep chain clear. Double Gengar being a viable duo is funny to me so I wanted to do it again even if I hate sleep chaining. To be fair though Allister’s recovery does give you some leeway, although it’s a bit harder to take advantage of it against Azelf as most of the time Drain Punch is doing very little damage. The clear against Tapu Bulu was much more forgiving.
