I have an account I accidentally made in July 2016 because I forgot which email I used to sign in. I don’t use it for much. Whenever I go back in I get a shiny. Just used it for the masterwork lucky trade because I’ve moved and all my lucky friends are now 700 miles away. Thought it was worth a shot. First Pokémon I saw was shiny. Then got a lucky on my first try.
I’ll put it away again to keep the luck going.

Lol. Pinsir has been on my list forever. I’ve been playing since 2016 and haven’t seen one. I do have theories the game increases shiny rate if someone leaves for awhile and comes back, to give that dopamine hit and get you back addicted.

I’ve noticed the more I play, the less shinies I get. If I take a break for a while then when I come back I get better shiny luck. I’m sure it’s coded into the game to try to pull you back in as well as to give less to people that are already hooked so they have to play even more to get shinies.
