Alola Champion Stadium, but I only use Hisuian descendants [Pokemon Masters EX]

Pretty excited for Hisuian characters to come to Pasio. I know it’s probably gonna take him a while to get here but I can’t wait to see our favorite potato mochi chef.

Wanted to celebrate by using some of their descendants in CSMM. While there are only a few descendants actually confirmed by the franchise, all of the characters I use here are pretty much accepted as having an ancestor in PLA.

Here’s how each battle went and the sync grids used:

I was trying this out with Clay instead of Karen to enable Cakewalk but I was always falling short of KOing Metagross, so I switched to a flincher instead to buy Wally enough time to get the job done. Permanent field effects meant that I didn’t have to sync with Cynthia to keep Fighting Zone up.

Only realized after a few attempts that this stage was resistant to special moves, but thankfully NY Volkner shrugs that off with his constant SEUN. Base Volkner takes care of syncing while SS Dawn provides crit buffs and the support EX boost.

One of the few times where I bring SE damage but don’t select the Standard Damage Reduction option. Needed to be a bit lucky with which moves the opponents picked for this to work but it was a fun clear nonetheless.

I brought Cynthia to 5/5 because there was a duo I wanted to pull off for Gauntlet and I needed the longer sand uptime. Dust Kicker + Sand Alert is a ridiculous enough combo to justify the investment IMO. With the constant sand this clear was pretty easy, and the stronger debuffs parameter meant Bertha’s Attack debuffs were quite effective.

Always found it odd that SS Wally had Status Immunity out of nowhere but I’m appreciating it now haha. NY Dawn makes sure that Interference Sync 5 is activated and provides constant debuffs while Lodge Dawn completes Wally’s buffs.
