What is the odds of this. It’s a level 1, it escaped one time and didn’t run and then i got a critical catch on it. Had 21 birds run prior to this.

What’s a critical catch?
Amazing that any level 1 pokemon can break out, the catch rate on these suckers basically means that a critical catch is the only way to go, other than using the master ball obviously.
I have a theory, but it’s a sore subject so I’ll spoiler tag it for the truly interested:
