Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is open great league and ultra league summer cup. Summer cup is a 2500cp league with fire, water, electric, grass, and bug typings.
This Saturday is AXEW community day. Evolve an Axew all the way to Haxorus to learn the charge move breaking swipe, a dragon claw clone that guarantees to lower your opponents attack. In this video I look at how strong haxorus is in the great league, ultra league, master league open, and master league premier.

hey dan i love this game and love pvp but lately i'm feeling very discouraged to play pokemon go and i don't want to quit it. please can you help me deal with the frustation of loosing so many matches in pvp and maybe help me get a new motivation to play this game (not just pvp) cause i really don't wanna stop playing

I ran it in the catch cup, a rank 20 haxorus. And it is 100% not a counter for lanturn. You resist water and electric in theory but its so frail you don't.
Got a Rank 7 for Great League, more than happy.
Also, do not think Counter/Breaking Swipe/Surf is the only way to go with Haxorus. While yes, youre always going to run Breaking Swipe no matter what, Dragon Tail is another solid Fast Move option that also benefits from STAB, and Night Slash and Earthquake are both reasonable options for Charge Moves for different coverages.
Another thing I noticed poking around in the Master League sims, is that Counter Haxorus shockingly beats Dialga in the 1 to 0 shield matchup with Breaking Swipe…it lowers the Dragon Breath damage just enough to where you get the farm down with ~8 HP left, which is something I did not expect.
Did my eyes deceive me, or did I see Golosipod at rank 10 and the master premier cup? 😳
