Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is open great league and ultra league summer cup. Summer cup is a 2500cp league with fire, water, electric, grass, and bug typings.
I used my master ball to catch a galarian moltres. Watch as I use it in the great league. Paired with swampert and medicham

I only got the articuno and its too high level for great league
My first incense after getting the Master Ball was a 150CP Articuno. Decided to wait to use it. Did not catch the Articuno. Haven't seen another bird since in 5 or so tries.
I got a Galarian Zapdos & I was thinking about running it with close combat & brave bird in the great league – any recommendations for the style of team I could run with it? I was thinking ABB with the swamp & maybe medi-wham
Got 2 galarian moltres way before the master ball came out, makes me not want to use the master ball knowing the birds can be caught, even though I’ve had many articunos and zapdos run on me
Great video ! my galar moltress is 5/11/7 and galar zappy is 14/4/13 it’s too high for great should I power them up and use great &ultra or ?
Just used my master ball on G.Moltres as well. I told myself if I found that or zapdos small enough for Great League I would use it. No regrets.
They're too rare and finding the right cp for my favorite league on top of that was justification enough.
W Moltres, great showcase! I used my masterball on Articuno about a week ago, caught Zapdos 3 months ago and found and caught Moltres two days ago
edit: have not used Moltres in PvP yet, Articuno is really difficult to run in Great League, needs shield advantage in most neutral matchups against meta pokemon or a huge energy lead, gonna power it up to Ultra and test it there when league changes over tomorrow.
Zapdos is really fun in great league, mostly in the back as a surprise for steel/dark safe switches, surprisingly wins a lot of matchups, has some horrible matchups in UL but can run through most darks and steels. also bonus points Zapdos counter animation!!!!!
Galarian moltress has been the staple of my ultra league team for ages now, i use payback and ancient power

I've managed 2 Articuno and a Moltres so far.
G moltres is not an answer to Scrafty btw. It gets shredded by pup counters. I’m have one I run every now and then and if Scrafty has a shield it’s rough.

Eyyy that’s the bird! My favorite to use of the three. I like it more than zapdos even, I love that it plays as a pseudo yveltal in master league. Lots of potential and a great choice to use the MB on!!!

Tbh sadly I can't really use daily insece. I think 95% of my catches are with gotcha and then pvp while walking
Great showcase, Dan. I wanted to use my masterball on the G. Articuno because I really like its design and moveset, but you made some good points about its viability. G. Zapdos might be my pick now; saving shields for it and letting it sweep seems like a good strategy.
Zapdos looks like a better blaziken for pvp
Good old Noctowl and Pidgeot do the same work and better, Galarian legendary birds are there only to keep player busy: Ask The Gods.

Right after we got the master ball it was like 2 incense later I came into zapados. I honestly wanted articuno cuz we got some beef to settle. It's taunted me for like a year now or just about I suppose but zap wad the first encounter and I didn't wanna wait. It was a pretty high cp like 2032 or something like that so I really didn't wanna watch it run so I locked zapados down but now hopefully when we get another whenever that may be ill prolly go for the moltres but I say that now. Cause they're so rareban barely spawn ill prollybendnup throwing the next one at which ever one crosses my path.. I'm really hoping if shiny versions become a thing that they will have a better catch rate or n something I can't even imaging running into a shiny galar bird and then it runs for the hills.. I think if the getbreleased shinyvtheybwill be in raids first before the wild honestly tho..
