  1. Not sure yet if it’s cloud or not, I’m banking on not. That would be huge

E: Personally I have moderate nostalgia for the original one, getting it on PS3 in 2009(?) because I remotely curious, didn’t get very far but I loved the depth it had and I was blown away by the visuals. Absolutely no surprise to me that it’s become an extremely popular series of games over the years. Maybe I’ll get it and be able to appreciate it properly.

I would absolutely doubt Knight running on switch if not for how amazing the Prime Remaster looked. I know this game is pretty far ahead of the original Prime but I think if they have taken enough time, it could be really good.

I’d be happy to have these on Switch, but I would probably wait for a pretty steep price drop before rebuying them personally, like under $20 for the collection

Riddler Racetracks in the palm of your hand

    All 6 trillion of them

  5. ImNotRedBatman

I might be in the minority here, but pretty bummed they never include Origins in these bundles… That’s my favorite one.

  6. Crimsonclaw111

Arkham Knight runs like crap on the Steam Deck so I’m not exactly hopeful here but I’m curious.

  7. SpringHillis

I do not like Nintendo listening into my conversations, I just had a talk with my wife on Mario RPG (specifically the Wedding part) and how many years since I played Arkham Asylum, they put the Fallouts on here finally and somehow Fire Pro Wrestling and I will have not a single thing left to wish for.

  8. Taythekid950

Really hoping these games aren’t cloud. Especially the 2 games that are in PS3/Xbox 360 consoles.

  9. Garrth415

If knight runs well I’ll pick these up again
    RIP Kevin Conroy

Asylum and City I’m optimistic for since they were originally PS3/Xbox 360 games. Knight seems very weird.

The game already didn’t run the best when it first launched on PS4/Xbox One, and if ALL the DLC is included this game would make this game file huge. And I’m not saying Knight looks bad. If anything it’s the best looking Arkham game they got. Just worried how they’ll optimize the game for the Switch. Thankfully glthis game released pretty early into the PS4/Xbox One’s life.

    Also, where Arkham Origins?

  11. Daydream_machine

Can someone explain what “cloud” is, and why people don’t want it?

  12. Ordinal43NotFound

Judging from Arkham City’s blue tint, I’m glad that they seem to be using the original versions of both Asylum and City instead of the remastered one which has [this ugly green tint](https://youtu.be/nUKHIvlnTgM) and worse lighting/contrast.

Whilst I share the skepticism of Arkham Knight running well on Switch, people tend to forget that it runs on Unreal Engine 3, an engine that is very old at this point and still very adaptable to newer hardware.

There are modern Unreal Engine 4 games that run pretty well on Switch, it’s no stretch that the best looking UE3 game could work just fine.

Yall I dont think this is a cloud version, they would be required to announce it as such and I didn’t see anything on th trailer that indicated cloud

  15. ishouldvoicemario

    Wow. Something nobody asked for.

Where’s the good stuff Nintendo? We get like 3 first party games that look exciting, and that’s it… everything else is ports of old games that nobody asked for.

  16. gacman47

Looked like the original graphics which is good.

  17. phase2_engineer

Nice! I never got to play these, and would love to have them portable.

Would love to have the Spider-Man games on the Switch next, too.

  18. RedditUser997755

thats all i need in life.. skyrim and arkham asylum

  19. ProfessionalNo21

    Amazing games, absolutely love Knight.

  20. scottyjrules

Never played these games so I’m pretty stoked this finally got announced after being a rumor for years now…

  21. theonetowalkinthesun

Awesome! I’ve been playing Telltale’s Batman games and wishing the Switch had the Arkham games on it. Now it’s finally happening!

Edit: And the graphics look better than I remember.

  22. EMI_Black_Ace

I wonder what they had to sacrifice and recode entirely to get Knight not just running, but looking decent. I’m guessing they probably messed with destructible stuff, i.e. can’t take chunks off the corners of buildings anymore, lots of random destructible clutter just gone, and what is destructible doesn’t shatter into nearly as many pieces and probably disappears quickly.

  23. arkhamtimes333

Holy shit lol I never thought it would happen

  24. lessthanpi79

Only a mere 5 years behind the rest of the gaming world!

  25. soliddd7

Love these games, but im not sure if I need them on the switch.

  26. DarthDregan

More and more I think if you don’t have a release date for your game, you should not announce it.

  27. AenarionsTrueHeir

I mean they’re exceptional games but hasn’t everyone already played them by now?

  28. ollielite

Wonder if you can download them separately

  29. How they make it work arkhan knight on switch? Thats a milacre!

  30. DancingChromosome

Boring. I have one on my 3ds so a switch release is useless

  31. Diablo_Killer

Knight is gonna run rough on the switch it already looks super downgraded.

  32. The porting company has a decent pedigree, so I’m looking forward to see what they did to get all the games running on Switch. Based on the wording on their website it sounds like all 3 are ports.

Most notably, It Takes Two Switch, Borderlands Switch, and Tony Hawk on Switch. I haven’t played It Takes Two but Tony Hawk and Borderlands are pretty solid ports that run well.

I’m really ready to play these games again, and pick up and drop on Switch sounds perfect.

  33. brittm1290

Wonder if that part of Knight where you have to fight the tanks is gonna piss me off in handheld mode like it did playing it on my PS4.

God, I hated that part of the game…..😂

  34. blueberrypizza

Why didn’t WB include Arkham Origins? Are they stupid? /s

This announcement has been a long time coming, I remember when these were leaked over a year ago. Still surprised that Knight seems to be a native port considering it even crashes on my PS5, but hopefully it’s well-optimized. From the look of it, the models are lower quality in Knight, but that’s probably a sacrifice they needed to make.

I just played these games for the first time last year and absolutely loved them. Anyone who is even a slight fan of Batman owes it to themselves to play these. In my opinion, these are the games that permanently raised the bar for licensed titles.

There are a few details I would like to know. I’m assuming it’ll launch at $60, but WB puts their games on sale so often that it won’t take long to drop to a more reasonable price. Personally I would wait until it drops pretty low since I own them elsewhere, but the portability does tempt me for things like the challenge maps.

Speaking of content, I also wonder if the “all DLC included” means that Knight’s DLC that was Playstation-exclusive is also part of that?

  35. Worm_Scavenger

please don’t be cloud, please don’t be cloud, please don’t be cloud, please don’t be cloud, please don’t be-

  36. jjmawaken

Cool, was hoping they’d bring this series to Switch. Looking forward to the Metal Gear game too.

  37. FemmeViolet117

City is one of my all-time favorite games. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on how the collection runs.

  38. ImpressiveAttempt0

    From the WB Games page:

Does the Nintendo Switch physical version of Batman: Arkham Trilogy include all three games on one cartridge?

Batman: Arkham Asylum will be included on the Batman: Arkham Trilogy game cartridge. Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight will require an online connection to download and install both titles when the Batman: Arkham Trilogy cartridge is inserted into the Nintendo Switch console. All three games will then be playable as long as the cartridge is inserted into the Nintendo Switch console.

  39. VomitSnoosh

I think Switch will handle Asylum and City just fine, but Knight is gonna have to get toned down in some areas.

  40. MoonieSarito

Gosh, I played Arkham City on the Wii U (to date the best version of the game in my opinion thanks to the gamepad) and Arkham Knight on my brother’s PS4, they are sensational games, it will be amazing to be able to play these games again on the Switch, although I am really curious to know if Arkham Knight will work well.

This game is very demanding and the PC port is not the best, I remember that they even explained that they did not bring this game to the Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 at the time precisely because the hardware was not strong enough to run the game satisfactory, it will be interesting to see how the Switch port fares.

Also, they could bring the Injustice games too, I loved the first Injustice on Wii U and the second Injustice on my brother’s PS4, even for those who don’t like fighting games it’s worth it just for the plot alone.

  41. Uncle_Bug_Music

Asylum & City ran great…On my PS3 in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Knight was amazing on my PS4 in 2015. Wow Switch! Getting some 8-14 year old games. Nice! Maybe someone will port Pong, if the Switch can handle the frame rate.

  42. theonetowalkinthesun

I hope this inspires Warner Bros + Monolith Productions to port the Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor/War

  43. Ridipley

I always end up buying these collections on the Switch even if they look and run worse, all because they have all the previous dlc on one cart and not a code. Pretty sure we never got that for the Arkham games on the PS4 right?
