With the spawn range thing they went the opposite way of normal developers. Instead of saying ‘it’s not a bug, it’s a feature’, they went ‘it’s not a feature, it’s a bug’.
That told me all I need to know about them.

At this point I’m in it. Firstly the irl friends that I have gotten over the years. But even more it’s like really bad road accident or something. You know that you should not look at it, but you just can’t help but keep looking at the wreckage. It’s amazing how they can constantly find new ways to disappoint us players.

Do people really forgot why was remote raid and increased spawn ranged introduced in the first place?
People complaining about how Niantic tackling “stay at home” advice during a pandemic and reverting them back to the original game play is more annoying than posts of John Oliver all over this sub.

I can’t understand it either. It does seem like they are trying to kill off the game. I’ve started slowly transferring my favorite mons to Pokemon home just in case something happens.

I just checked the game every now and then to see if Diancie was gonna appear (it’s the last one I’m missing) and now it’s gonna happen in August.
After that I’ll transfer her to Home and go back to mainline.
Really nothing appealing about the game anymore even if all the ideas are out there ready to be listened.

okay so I really think that when they said the increased spawn range is a bug, they didn’t mean the new 80m spawn range is a bug, if you’ve noticed, Pokémons that spawned in the 80m radius, stay spawned even after walking out of their range (and even outside of your screen), sometimes you can’t even see them until you rotate your screen, and they also stay interactable. so I think by “bug” they meant that, not the new 80m spawn range. but we’ll need to wait and see.

next bug remote raid passes were supposed to be 500 coins each. Must pay difference or account will be locked.

The problem is at the top of the company. When you have a CEO with such a backwards way of thinking and then people in leadership positions who are willing to be nothing more than “yes men/women,” there’s no hope. This company needs a complete shake up in leadership.

Niantic has to renew eventually to have the rights to produce Go.
Given the staffing cuts and general incompetence and tone deaf relationship with players, it is abundantly clear they have no intention of doing anything more than the minimum needed to take the games decrepit wreckage to the finish line, milking every short term, short sighted option as they go before closing it down.

Thank you for all the support on this post over the last day, and thank you to the mods for leaving this up.
I love Pokemon Go, and I hope using the platform I have gets some of the biggest complaints under the right set of eyes.

The paid timed research for GBL day blew my mind. I already have my adventure sync turned off and only play events with friends but honestly, losing motivation fast.
