Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is master league open and retro cup. Master League open means XL pokemon and legendary pokemon. Retro Cup is a 1500CP, great league, with no steel, dark, or fairy pokemon.

I was trying to run a meme team few season back with Triple Dragon, it actually worked extremely well
Rock slide cradily will be a fun pick. Might try it with noctowl/lanturn
Yeah like the approach to the team ideas but I think you had concentrate to much on the mons that are not available to participate like dark! Froslass loses to any Mon with Eock slide! Like Dunsparce! A team of Medi,Noctowl, Lanturn will do damage like last time! Also Dunsparce did very well agains ice am flying last time as well!

Abomasnow is your freind in the lanturn noctowl world.. especially with no steel types
The ability to use Zangoose for froslass is what made this cup fun…. noctowl makes team building sooooooo much less fun…
Imma bust out noctowl and lanturn and buy imma prob use froslast or shadow k-9 (love using it it hits so hard)
For spice, what about Barbaracle? Cross Chop/Stone Edge is a nice charge move combo. Provides both Ice and Flying coverage in one mon. Nice record in sims.

I’m gonna miss Single Type Cup. Finished it near 2600. Retro is one I’m either gonna skip or play very sparingly

I ran a Charizard, Galvantula, & Shadow Mewtwo team today and it was super fun. Also ran into someone using Shadow Lugia and got a super rare screenshot of it battle Shadow Mewtwo in the great league.
i went with shadow regirock lead, honestly i think he'll be strong. the shadow isnt great for GL but u can resist body slam spam thats common for leads and i have altaria and dragalge in the back. keep ice off them with the rock and u basically win any matchups with those theyre super bulky and have nukes.
5-0'd in my first set with this team but the vulnerabilities do make a lot of the wins a bit stressful
I’ve was using Greedent for single type cup & love it as a SS. But, I’ve been using tackle, should I be using bullet seed?
I’m running dubwool, Machamp, and victini. Odd team no doubt but they get the job done
Ive been having a ton of success with hakamo-o. Just deestroys lanterns. Its a great lead

Fan of your vids but I have one issue. You don’t run the teams you recommend. Battled you earlier and you were using a kanto ninetales lead and a shadow dragonite in the back. C’mon man! Give the people the real deal.

I got very demotivated today to compete. I'm only playing 3 months, yesterday i made it to 1490 rating and was so excited to hit veteran… I would have hit it but for some reason the game bugged and reset my team before entering so I had random mons that didn't fit. I was 4-0 on the set and would've been 5-0 judging by the last match (Thanks Niantic) 😀
Today I entered Retro, but I just don't have the pokemon required for this meta. I tanked 200 elo and may have to sit out retro cup.
