Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is master league open and retro cup. Master League open means XL pokemon and legendary pokemon. Retro Cup is a 1500CP, great league, with no steel, dark, or fairy pokemon.
Ghost is weak to ghost and dark. Well dark is banned and you can hit super effective against other ghosts which means that froslass and jellicent can essentially roam free. Paired with Dunsparce to deal with lanturn.

Could you use Dubwool instead of Dunsparce?

I’ve been running this team since Thursday and it’s so good. 3 5-0 sets out of 4 sets I’ve played it. Dunsparce tanks so much damage with ease but hits super effective against so much of what I’m seeing.

My current line is Dunsparce/Walrein/Trevenant.
For the most part I can nab 3/5 to 4/5 sets which I'm fine with, it's still on the positive and I care most about dust and the encounters.
Dubwool is definitely a problem however, no true answer to it except wear it down with Dunsparce, which unfortunately leaves me open for the likely Lanturn in the back, unless I want to burn shields using Trevenanr and avoid Payback.
But that's battle life, nearly every team has a corebreaker so if mine is Dubwool which I haven't seen all that often, (I saw it maybe once in 10 battles today) then I think I'm finally getting a real groove.
I thought i was being smart putting EQ on my regirock. But there must be a legit reason if everyone is using dunsparce…

I was up to 1990 with noctowl medicham Lanturn, and then all the sudden I hit a shadow ball buzzsaw… I lost 10 in a row and now I’m 1800 again.
It’s beyond frustrating that the very best Pokémon are always so hard to get or level so if you’re new this year you just lose

I've been running Lanturn, Quagsire(sludge bomb), and shadow swampert lol Been averaging 3/5
I used shadow Banette and out of ten Thunders, only one knew to block it. Kept throwing Noctowl at it. Most just gave a top left after the OHKO.

I know this probably isn’t good but I sadly don’t have a pvp worthy jellicent, I do have a perfect Iv one, does that affect its stats at all compared to a 0 attack one?
I recommend fross with crunch is not expected and highly effective

I've been running this with Alolan Marowak instead of Jellicent. I know it's worse but I still don't have a single good PVP IV for Jellicent despite playing since launch.
This cup is making me hate frosslass but only because I don’t have one 😂
I seen where kecleon has dark fast and charge but I’ve been using oranguru with dark pulse has been putting in some work for me gonna check kecleon with the team see if he fits
I've seen this team a few times and I've had good success with my Drudiggon, Dragagle, shadow A-nine team

“This is why i suck” was what i said today when i landed a frenzy plant on an Altaria.
Played this for a set around 2300 and went 5-0. Helped that my last 3 matches were Froslass leads. But that the beauty of dunsparce: no real bad leads outside of counter users.

I actually thought the same but I’m running shadow Graveler in the lead, Drifblim as a safe swap, and Froslass as a closer.
