Title. Not sure if it makes sense but I’m trying to figure out if it’s beneficial to purify this Arcanine? Let’s say it’s max CP possible is 2800, if I purified it, would this limit be raised? Thanks

Only very very slightly, because the IVs will be increased.
For example, this Arcanine will hit 2965 CP at level 40 and 3352 CP at level 50.
If you purify it, it will hit 2995 CP at level 40 and 3386 CP at level 50.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the CP, and instead see if the 20% shadow damage boost is useful for Arcanine. For example, if you need fire types to take down a [Genesect raid boss](https://www.pokebattler.com/raids/defenders/GENESECT/levels/RAID_LEVEL_5/attackers/levels/40/strategies/CINEMATIC_ATTACK_WHEN_POSSIBLE/DEFENSE_RANDOM_MC?sort=ESTIMATOR&weatherCondition=NO_WEATHER&dodgeStrategy=DODGE_REACTION_TIME&aggregation=AVERAGE&includeLegendary=true&includeShadow=true&includeMegas=false&attackerTypes=POKEMON_TYPE_ALL&primalAssistants=), Shadow Arcanine is the 10th best non-mega counter, while regular Arcanine doesn’t even crack the top 30 list.
