I hope this is as good as I want it to be. Such an incredible soundtrack back on nes.

This game looks cool but I always interpreted the vibe of Double Dragon very differently… this is like if someone tried to make a Contra update that looked like Metal Slug

Man it sure plays sluggish as hell. These devs need to go back and shorten a LOT of the players’ animations. There’s an actual full-ass *second* of landing recovery when you land from a jump (varies a bit per character.) Whenever there are groups of enemies onscreen, I feel like I straight up do not possess the mechanics to handle the fight no matter how well I play. I walk around scared to do any attacks because I know I’m gonna be locked into an animation long enough for a dude to walk up and start punching me.
This is a retro style beatemup, not Dark Souls. Let the combat feel smooth and fluid, don’t make every animation take an hour.
