Btw, you can Google the rewards for basically any task the day it comes out. I don’t like to do that because it sorta ruins the game play. But I’m glad I did with this one so I’m not grinding routes for nothing

I mean, the reward was the Zygarde encounter. Imo they did the smart thing giving it to players before requiring us to interact with routes.

My only available route nearby was set up by some genius from their front door, leading through multiple apartment complex yards. I followed it once and told myself I’m not gonna do that again lmao I rather wait for new routes. Especially unfortunate, because the neighbourhood straight up offers so many nice routes to follow that are easily to understand and don’t have you figure out how you can get onto them and feel like you intrude on private property (they are public, but still ..Feels weird man.)

I live in a desert and found the perfect route that leads straight through an air conditioned mall, meaning I could actually play and follow a route when 100 degrees outside…
I wasnt even able to finish it. Walking at a snail’s pace and constantly having to hit the resume route button every 5 seconds meant that I couldnt catch any pokemon or spin any stops while walking. It took me 30mins for a 7min walk. Then, right at the very end- it straight up stopped working entirely.
It “paused” the route, but someone still clocked me on the route as having walked further. I had to go back to the exact location it was paused to resume. However that meant I wasnt where I should be on the route, so it paused again. Cue 15mins of running back and forth like an idiot stuck in an endless cycle of “resume only at this exact spot” and “paused for being too far away” before I ragequit and went home.
I dont think Ill be completing this research anytime soon.
