Nintendo Switch

I designed a simple cassette case insert for Nintendo Switch games to 3D print

After few adjustments to the cartridge holder and the case insert I finally got the size about right.

All of the cassette covers in the photos are downloadable from the link in the description on Thingiverse.

Those are cute and awesome. Great job!

They’d be fun for any cartridge small enough to suit it. The entire Gameboy and DS lines, for instance.

I wish this was official packaging size.

I designed a 3ds game holder to print but had trouble making a hinge or another way of closing it. Maybe this would be a good way to go around that problem

was this because you had a lot of cassette cases? It seems like a strange thing to land on

  8. As someone that has been getting into cassettes and lacks a 3D printer, I’m both in love with this idea and sad that I can’t print it. Yeah, I know, I could go to my library and pay them like $20 for a few of them. But I won’t.

    Friggen rad, OP. Friggen rad.

I knew there was a reason for me to save all my old cassette tapes! This is amazing! Great job!

  11. I remember some doing this for Gameboy games, because of them losing the boxes or buying 2ndhand.
    Neat stuff.

Could just use the game case? Haha this is pretty sick though.

This is so dope. Great work, and thank you for sharing.

  14. these are fun for cheap ebay caseless buys, though for storage space reasons, i opt for a switch case inlay that has several cart slots these days
