    Been sending gifts and raiding with my gf since 2018 and still haven’t been lucky friends. Ive never had a lucky friend since I’ve been playing! I feel like they don’t exist lol

    I really wish they would add *some* form of distance trading.

    They could keep the region Pokémon exclusivity by adding a stipulation that you can only do this trade for something that exists in your Pokedex already.

    Something like the Rocket Takeover event, where maybe for 24 hours, you have the opportunity to do 1 single unlimited distance trade with a lucky friend.

    And maybe this event happens like 3-5 times a year, or however many times they want to do it.

    Wish Niantic would help the community out with long distance trades,I’m a player from South africa and we can’t organize shit to play together,so for now I’m just basically playing com days and wasting my time

    I have 152 “friends” on Pokémon go. One is my brother and the other one is an ex- co-worker. Both of them don’t play anymore. Then there is a friend of a friend of a friend. My friend says we’ve met before but I’m not so sure because I got his code from twitter and he lives in another city. None of my friends live in the city I live in.

    The friends I personally know in my list never connect lol.

    Also it would be kinda nice to have more range to see last connection, it doesn’t make sense that 2 days, 1 week and 1 month give the same message. At least it should go from “X days” to “1 week or more”

    That’s how Niantic devs think friends are supposed to work in this game.

    Lucky friends aren’t all that, it’s just as easy to delete them as it is regular friends. When friends stop sending gifts and you need room its not a big deal to get rid of them

    Ironically this is the real issue with the spewpa release. It incentives you to add friends you don’t know and to do the work that you’ll never be rewarded for. Vivillion needs revamped.

    Going lucky friends with someone should let you do at least one long distance trade. That way, it helps when adding people you don’t know irl/who live abroad.

    You can find friends without using a spoofing app. I’ve got over 100 that I’ve never actually met in real life.

    I finally made lucky friends with a guy I know from bumping into each other at professional conferences, he lives a few states away. So now I just have to attend a boring 3-day conference to get the chance at my first lucky Pokemon. F
