Out of pokeballs and my item bag is always full. What should I get rid of to make room for more pokeballs?

  1. dump the purple potions and feed the Nanabs to gyms

  2. OddTarget6550

Get rid of weak potions and some revives

  3. ChicagoCowboy

Unfortunately I think the answer is…you need more storage. But I know a lot of people don’t want to put any money into the game, which I respect.

I only keep max revives and max potions in my inventory, and I feed nanabs to gyms and only keep about 40 or so of the other berries (other than silver and gold).

I’d drop all of your lowest level potions – and even all of your least used berries – my rule is that about 60% of my inventory should ALWAYS be pokeballs, otherwise you can’t play the game.

Potion, super potion, nanab to gyms

  5. cloutdiia

Use the purple potions to heal your Pokémon because it will take more of them to heal fully and thus free up some space.

  6. FoundationAble5331

Delete regular potions use super potions rest of them also delete and delete every single nanab berry

  7. Severe_Flow5953

Use and get rid of any spare normal purple and yellow potions, feed berries to buddys/gyms

  8. JesusChrist-Jr

Way too many potions, how are you possibly every going to use all of them? Dump all the purples, and maybe even the yellows. 76 pinks ought to be plenty! FWIW, I never keep more than 50 potions and 50 revives on hand, and I’m a hoarder.

I’d also use up most of the berries, at least the nanabs. Feed them to your buddy or you gyms to work on those medals.

  9. Trev-_-A

I have the opposite problem, zero potions and hundreds of balls

  10. Discard or use the weak potions, feed the Nanab berries to your buddy and the gym.

  11. Mundane_Intention728

Either get rid of a few reg potions, or my advice would be to delete the nanab berries bc they serve almost no purpose aside from maybe zubats lol

  12. Shuckleberg

Potion, super potion, can go every time. Nanab berries only real use is feeding your buddy or mons at gyms or just toss the nababs

  13. Joba7474

I don’t hold potions or super potions. The nanabs can go too

  14. BostonianToro

Don’t just dump the nannabs, feed them at a gym (any gym) to get dust.

  15. mysterygarden99

Dump all your purple potions and yellow ones you’ll find more

  16. KitanaWins_FV

I’ve learned that I never really need more than 50 of anything. I usually keep things around 30. Except balls. I keep like 5 red ones and 25 of the others. Same with potions. Maybe 5 purples and 30 of the others. I used to think that I should keep 0 red balls and 0 purple potions but that will only throw off your game’s algorithms.

I would invest in some bag upgrades. Its actually a very fair price for 200 per upgrade. Best gold I have spent in this game.

  18. Niceoneluke

Unless you’re going to use them for buddies, get rid of some nanabs and def some potions and super potions

  19. Machoman94

Dump Sinnoh stones, i had like 250, dumped 100 of em

  20. Next-Increase-9693

Potions and super potions, although I don’t generally throw them away I use as many as I can and then throw the rest away. It’s a lot more time consuming though. A good strategy for racking up coins is to find a gym near your home and put a super weak Pokémon in it. Then make a second account with a different team, get up to level five and get some ok Pokémon, and go back the next day and knock your Pokémon out. If you do that every day you can afford a item/storage update every 4 days. Some people might consider this cheating but I personally don’t.

  21. Small-Fondant7011

Potions and super potions. Also check the misc things like sinnoh stones, kings rock, sun stone, etc. I only keep 4 of each of those since theyre not needed often

  22. SailorReimei

Put an incense and lucky egg on. Use the berries with them when you catch them. You’ll get double XP for the lucky egg. Dump the Pokémon. When I get full it’s what I do. Then you get XP, candies and stardust.

  23. Enevorah

I’ve had a stack of 150 max revives and max potions for like 2 years and I honestly never even use them. I use hyper potions as I get them and never keep more than 20 regular revives/hypers and never have to touch them
So it’s mostly wasted space. Nanab berries I feed to gyms for stardust.

  24. repulsive_brain_55

I would discard half of all potions and feed your buddy nanabs

  25. xbleeple

If you have the coins definitely get a bag upgrade or two

  26. inkspiration1

No one needs nanab berrys, maybe keep 2 for the rare occasion but I just delete all of them.
Get rid of the potions, only keep up to 100 potions and up to 100 revives, and only the best ones (I only keep 100 max potions and 100 max revives and transfer the rest. With your storage maybe keep only 50 each. Should still be enough with my 10p each I rarely get below 50 and inly during team go rocket events. Raids should get you more potions and revives than you need, if more of your pokemon die during a raid you need stronger attackers

  27. Psychological-Car800

Lucky I can’t get any potions I opened several gifts and only get 1 purple out of 7

  28. SellingChocolate

Personally, I would dump the potions, half of the super potions and maybe 20 revives.

  29. fkisutalmbout

You actually created a thread on this? Regular potion obviously.

  30. codymason84

If you can afford it I’d add more storage

  31. 2Markus6

Potions and Nanab Berries. I always trash those. That and a few revives

  32. Noise_From_Below

I only keep about 10-15 revives and max potions on me at a time. Hard to imagine a scenario I would need more than that in one session. Plus you will just keep getting more from gifts and pokestops so no reason to hoard. Items are meant to be used not collect dust!

  33. Your worst 50 potions. Play for 3 more weeks and you’ll afford double that lot.

  34. SantaNewfie

All potions, super, most hypers and all but like 5 revives

  35. cmaxw640

Everyone is always trashing on nanabs… they level me up in a big way I easily land excellent all day thanks to nanabs..

I always get rid of reg and super potions.. its never been a problem for me.

  36. When using or discarding potions/revives, always start with the lower level ones. You might be able to use 1 hyper potion to heal a pokemon quickly…but if you use up a dozen of the purple ones instead, then you’ve gained an extra 11 inventory spots. (Which could get replaced with better ones. I get rid of everything that isn’t a max potion/revive at this point…and even have to discard some of those now and then.)

And when you gain enough coins…increase your storage space.

  37. Additional_Win3920

Step 1: Switch your item bag to Tile mode instead of List mode (button in the top right corner) you’re welcome

Step 2: dump potions and super potions and keep only hyper potions. 76 is more than you will use at once. Raiding gives you potions to heal after the raid, so really you’d only run out of potions if you did like 50 Team Rocket grunts in a row

Step 3: discard your nanabs or feed them at a gym of your own team. I always keep 5 of them on me for the pesky “make 3 excellent throw” research tasks that come along every so often

  38. teamlyle

Get a ridiculously high paying job, spend all your money on Pokecoins, and use the Pokecoins to buy more bag space. ez

  39. sharksnrec

How is this even a question. The worthless purple potions and nanabs are a no brainer

  40. mtkilla79

You should get rid of your budget and buy more space. Thanks for playing.
