Does anyone in melbourne know if there are Routes there? I’m heading there in a couple months.

It should exist some route in Melbourne.
I live in Barcelona, near the center, and there were no routes at all, but suddenly Niantic approved like 10 in my zone.
Try on other zones, they should appear. Or hopefully someone from Melbourne would help.(I hope they do)
Good point is that Zygarde was rewarded on the 3rd step, otherwise people would be (more) mad with Niantic.
One important thing to know is that Zygarde cells are really small, you should be looking for them when they appear or you could miss them, just like some Gimmighoul hahaha
Try seeing if there is an update or reboot. I did that and they popped up.
i live a hour from the largest city in my country in a major city of its own and i haven’t found a single route it is fucked.
Wait patiently and check often.
There’ll be routes eventually. Yes, Melbourne should have some.
Warrnambool has two if you’re out this way.

I think about 90% of players have this problem. I wrote to support. They replied that I should create my own routes (I don’t know from which level it is possible, but I have lvl 34 and I can’t). They say the situation will improve. It’s been 2 weeks and nothing has improved.
Sit and wait for either a route or for Niantic to realized this is stupid and unbalanced af and changes it.
Go to a park and hope someone has made a route for you to follow. If not, make your own route and wait on admin to approve it.
I did my first one the other day. Finished the Pokémon catch 20 part, got one route complete, but didn’t find any cells.

took days to find one but now ive done 19 routes and found zero cells so…
That’s the fun part 60% of us will never know

Complete it in 2024 like most of the folk in the same boat sadly. I mean at least it doesn’t time out and the routes may work by the time you get one

Niantic is not taking feedback on routes from anyone.
Niantic gave a very small subset of players routemaking.
Routemaking is buggy and you’re lucky if it works.
Niantic limited how MANY routes you can make severely.
Feedback from routemakers or routewalkers is unceremoniously dumped to the bin.
Niantic isn’t communicating to routemakers or routewalkers at all.
Even if you find a route you might not be able to follow it.
Even if you can follow a route you might not get any cells.
You’ll have to walk like 5000km to get enough cells for a full zyg.
Honestly, even by niantic standards this is an amazing crapfest.
So you remember in the anime when it took ash over a decade to beat the league? Yeeeeeea this is your arc now bud.
Route radar has such a small range. From where I am I can see 1 route, but at the beach only 1 km east there are 2 different ones. It really just checks immediate surroundings.

I just visited one of the largest cities in the world a while ago, and not a single route. Easier to catch 3 zapdos in one day than find a route.
I really dislike this quest.
Irony of this is that the more crowded with pokemons or pokestops an area is, good luck in trying to see or even capture Zygarde cells. And if your near the end and it pops, if your too close to completion it will just go poof. Also if your walking with a huge buddy, it will obscure the cells.
