I thought this game died lol
I think I'll wait for a Pokeball Plus + Plus + that'll have minimal connectivity to Pokemon Ladder and Stairs on the Switch 2.
Joking aside it's nice to see them continue the Pokemon devices but it's still a glorified bluetooth button in the end of the day.
Pokeball + was fun for awhile till support started to taper off and the soft plastics wore out, bluetooth kinda got weaker too.
What I want is more akin to a Digimon device or DC VMU Chao Adventure with more meaningful features and connections.
More Milked Pokémon stuff. It just keeps going and people still buy into Pokémon whatever it is. They just consume everything Pokémon and it just gets worse from my perspective 😂
I have been loving the POG++ I see it sometimes not tracking the sleep super well but I am unsure if thats bc i am putting it on my bed properly but still love it for sleep and for POG

Almost tuned out to this one. Anything you tear apart is always interesting though.
the big thing i dont like about pokemon go is that i have to use my phone, so i think this is a cool product, but $55 is insane for a small pokeball
I can't see this being usable in 10yrs or more as the app would likely no longer be around.

Funny that the only joy con component is the battery, and ironically having drift issues on this device would actually be a plus to help get extra distance bonuses.

Me: yeah My family went through probably 6 or more pokewalkers back in the heartgold and soul silver era.
Him: warning this one doesn't look to be water proofed in any way.
Me: oh no
Him: i don't know why but we got a lot of parents coming in with the old one's because they went through the washing machine
Me: thinking of the 6 dead pokewalkers yeaaaaah all of those were lost to the washer. But a few made it through a few times before never turning back on again!
They were left in pockets okay? When Nintendo names something a pocket walker they should not be surprised when it is forgotten in that pocket by kids 😂
The PoGo++ doesn't count sleep if it doesn't move enough regularly during sleep. So that is one sensitive exeleromiter.
No need with Pgsharp. I get tons of features and ability to spoof my location. No need to walk around my area and get robbed. Now I can go anywhere.
I probably won't buy one since I'm not much into PoGo these days but repairability on that thing is crazy.

Mu biggest issue with the device itself is the lack of particular control for the lights, sound, and vibration. Sure, they can be fine in an outdoor setting or something, but for a sleep device it can be downright loud. Physical buttons or whatever for adjusting each of those things would be more than appreciated, or at least easy access to a software solution (perhaps even with the option of it being dependant on time of day or something)
I sent mine back and got a refund. Not being able to turn the rumble off was a deal breaker. Sure It could have been modified physically, however as an end user, I shouldn't have to do that.
I also felt the initial marketing was deceptive. I have other auto catchers which do a better job, but lacked the ability to use other pokeballs. This one claimed it could, however what they didn't say at the time was that it was limited to pressing the button to catch, rather than just the auto catcher.
Usability wise, the sleep function didn't work well, it wouldn't always track, so you missed out on an entire night of information, and you would lose out in Pokemon Go.
At least the sync functionality in Pokemon Go worked well. 👍
I like mine but you are right about the glossy finish. I already have a noticeable chunk of the red side rubbed off and a big red mark on my center button.

Go++ is my new favorite programming language
I really liked the Pokeball Plus, as I used it for Switch and then a ton with Go. Go, being the cesspool that it's become the past year or so has me way less interested in this than I thought I would have been. Ah well, thus is the current state of Pokémon.

I did pick one up, I've been using it for both Pokemon go and Pokemon sleep. But mostly Pokemon sleep, it's an improved device compared to the previous Pokemon Go plus for the rechargeable battery rather than the CR022 batteries, that needs to be ready during sessions, and another plus is the ability to use great ball and ultra ball by pressing on the button it notifies, the Pokemon go plus, only can use Pokeball.
Honestly the best thing about this device for someone like myself who plays Pokémon go only on certain weekends. I commute a lot back and forth to work during the week and being able to leave this thing on in the background to spin stops and stock up on items during the week is nice so when I have time to go out for events during the weekend I have plenty of items.
But does it play doom?
