For as long as this research takes and the amount of effort required, I feel extremely underwhelmed by this challenge’s rewards. Am I alone here?
Also, I could be completely misremembering but I feel like the candy rewards were much higher when I originally got the research…

I mean it’s not something you go out and finish just because, it’s something you’ll just do by just playing the game. So I think it’s kinda reasonable, those candies are pretty valuable tbf. But if the other rewards aren’t any better it’s for sure underwhelming.
I would also add that the entire post of this research is Shiny Jirachi. The “rewards” along the way are more like milestones than anything.
The reward is shiny Jirachi… the rest are nice little perks along the way
Page two is “have 10 best buddies” I’d go ahead and start working on 10 a day so you have a headstart once you finish page one
For such tasks, I feel 10 candies are not a sufficient reward
These shiny mythical tickets I feel are more difficult than necessary. I am still trying to complete the catch 10 Kecleon. It feels weird that I paid to do these really tedious quests.

How does one start this line of research’s?
I suspect that you don’t play the game as much as the average owner of the research. I’m pretty sure I finished this stage in a couple weeks. The keckleon stage is what took forever. I’ve had dozens of best buddies for years, so that stage was really quick.
Because the only thing people care about is the final page so instead of marking one long page they make 6 short ones
Do best buddies already count? Or do you need to reach 10 best buddies while the research is active?

Imagine complaining about the little rewards along the way when the big ticket reward is the *shiny Jirachi* at the end.
where do you all get these special tasks? all I can see is the Global ticket with Diancie.

The “would you rather walk 600km” argument is dumb af cause you can just as easily get and use rare candies to skip that walk aswell. They’re extremely easy to get

The catch 10 kecleon page will be the real pain, I have yet to see one. I’m go to Vegas in two weeks and the strip has a ton of stops. If I don’t find one I’m going to snap.
Part 2 is to have 10 best buddies. I’m working on it right now and only have 3 so far

People are really defending Niantic for the given rewards?!
What in the actual f, I’m playing for 2 months and the rewards for missions are straight garbage, how is that even a discussion….Compare it to any other game aswell and this is beyond sad and money hungry for everything even remotely *special/rare*
The logic is you gain the exp from doing the task, not the task reward.
I remember there was a free special research a few years back that threw 100000 exp at you. No idea why they want to keep exp levels gated so much

i had two pokémon almost to best buddy status before getting to the have 10 best buddies. once i got to the research and began earning hearts with them again and achieved it, they did not count. i am still at 0/10 now because that pissed me off so much 😂
They’re a means to an end. The real rewards are the grand prize

The biggest disappointment is when you get a low IV that isn’t even worth powering up or using in battle. I wish the guaranteed a three star for it.
