They really should incentivize doing more damage by rewarding more balls or something else.

My gf never bothers to learn type advantages so half the time she uses whatever is recommended. Low and behold I see a tyranitar on the other end of the battlefield during kyogre

I was on my like 3rd team so I had ttars coming out. I felt bad for my fellow raiders but we still got it done!

LMAOOO. Their hooh could have known Solarbeam that’s why they used it. Still dumb tho.
Edit: did you win?
Anxious-Spectre
I’ve been with people who brought Yveltal against Xerneas, and Groudon against Primal Kyogre just for the “lore accuracy” I guess.

Had a guy bring a Weepinbell. We still win though

Probably just using recommended battle party, probably was out there because of solar beam. Not everyone that plays this game has a deep understanding of Pokémon battle mechanics or typing. Some people are new and just have to use their strongest Pokémon regardless of what they are. Bad typing or not, they’re still contributing more than if they were there.
Dont gatekeep, it’s lame. It’s a mobile video game.

Probably just using the in-game recommended teams. I know it was pushing to use my Houndoom in every single Kyogre raid I did. And that mon didn’t even have a super effective charged move..
NekoHaruko
The raids were so hard that kyogre killed all my good moms. So i was left with using not great mons
requiem785
his all other pokemon maybe in life support

I once did a raid with 4 other people (Cresselia) and someone was using an Alolan Exeggutor, all trainers were above level 30, I did not win that raid

Ah yes, let’s make fun of people who actually still join raids just because they don’t necessarily choose the “right” Pokémon. It’s literally a game, enjoy it and focus on your own lane. I raid all the time but I only ever use the recommended party as I don’t care for the mechanics of it. Always won, always done my part. Just leave people alone!

Tried hosting a Xerneas raid with the campfire app, and we ended up losing because there were a substantial number of dragon types brought. So I feel ya.

I’m probably this clueless player in raids too. I find learning types to be so overwhelming. I never did Pokémon as a kid either, so no base knowledge to build on. That being said I did google before the primal raids to try and make sure I had a solid team since I was warned about how hard these raids are. But the fact you guys all have this deep level of working knowledge of types and attacks is something I find very impressive and overwhelming!

Had someone in a Kyogre raid yesterday get the Final Strike award with Axew…

Ho-oh can learn solar beam. I don’t know what attacks kyogre can have in the raid, but if it had something like ice beam, then solar beam Ho-oh is fine?
AsterMaken
not saying he’s right but ho-oh can learn solar beam
Witcher_IN
Can someone explain how can we get option for two simultaneous attacks?
Electrical_Flower_26

I had Blaziken recommended as a party lead against Kyogre. Can’t argue with AI masterclass
citznfish
Whatever it recommends I use. Eff it, I never lose

Every Kyogre I raided has had Blizzard so it checks out. I dunno if its the hardest raid boss but it’s up there
Pikablu555
Oh so that’s why it’s taking 10+ people to do a primal kyogre
X1Pikachu1X
hp electric and solar beam are learnable moves by ho-oh

The old days of this should be easy we have 20 people and then see nothing but blisseys around you once it starts.

Not everyone has ideal Pokémon for every raid boss they might just have a mix match of Pokémon and this is one of their highest CP mons. We’ve all been there at one point.

I did a remote raid through poke genie for Mega Rayquaza last weekend. Took an hour and a half to get to the front of the queue. Then when I got into the raid, there were three of us over level 40, and the other three were under 30. One of them was using a Groudon (I can only hope it had Dragon Tail, but it’s charge moves are useless). Another was using Machop (no, not Machamp). Needless to say, we didn’t win.
Didn’t help that it was weather boosted with Outrage.

I just use whatever is recommended. At most, I’ll swap them round so if I have a Mega I’ll put that first.
