I wonder if this means they’re getting Wonder out of the way to talk more 2023/24 titles in a Sept. direct.
I am very excited to learn more about this game!
That said, I think it’s very interesting this is getting it’s own presentation just before the window during which Nintendo usually provides a full Direct each September. If that were going to take place, I’m not sure why this wouldn’t be included, and if it’s not going to take place, I wonder what news we’ll be getting from them this fall.
Usually they have a full direct in September. Weird that this is before that possible direct.
Can’t wait for the 2 hour long video breakdowns of the new mario voice and how it’s not comparable to the legend.
Before anyone panics about no September direct, Nintendo has done plenty of single game directs right before General directs

I wonder if we’re getting this instead of a regular September direct. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo’s 2024 is a little dry in the lead up to the new console so they might not have much new stuff to show until that gets properly announced

So pumped for a new 2D Super Mario! Odyssey was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it but I’m so ready for this.
Seems very early to have a Wonder-focused direct when it doesn’t launch until over a month and a half after this direct airs. I wonder if they have so much confidence in the title, they’re deciding to release it early?

Can’t wait! Love the new art style and I’m hungry for some new 2D Mario Platforming. I don’t often love the deep-dive single game directs, but I’m here for this one.
I guess they’ll have that message form Charles as he did bow out as Mario. Revealing who’ll be the new voice of Mario and company. Or if the others will get new voice actors from here on out

Genuinely excited for this. There’s nothing I love more in gaming than a brand new Mario adventure. There are plenty of great platformers, but none of them *really* compare. I love the art direction on this one.
I love how every time Nintendo announces a mini-direct like this, people start hyper analyzing what it could mean for future directs and release schedules. It reminds me of the Charlie meme from It’s Always Sunny.
I only wonder (heh) if it’s worth watching: I have no doubt the Direct will be interesting and HYPE! but I’ve already commited to get the game and I dislike spoilers.

So glad they are finally putting out a 2-D Sidewinder Mario game for Switch!
When I bought the system for Mario Kart and other games, this is the game I was expecting/wanting after New Super Mario Bros on Wii & Wii U.
I don’t ever pre-order, but might for this game just so they know a 2-D Mario game is still important to lots of us fans. Any deals anywhere?
A huge allure of SMWonder is all the weirdness and bizarre surprises. I don’t want to watch 15 minutes of spoilers of all the crazy things I’ll be encountering in the game.
I am going to skip this direct and just play the game. I would only recommend watching this direct if you are on the fence about buying the game and need some more convincing.

2D Mario simply doesn’t get me excited anymore. Even the old classics.

I’m looking forward to a new Mario game.
I haven’t played a 2D Mario Game since New Super Mario Bros. on the DS and Wii, so I’m super excited to get in on this one.

Definitely getting this even though I have WAY too many games that I have time to play currently. I am a casual gamer so play when I can for enjoyment. All digital as well which is not the best decision at times (looking at you TOTk) but I don’t know if I would sell my games anyway.
I think we’ll get a special message from Martinet. They did promise one.
Super Mario Wonder already succeeded in getting everybody wondering. I wonder if it’ll be as good as I hope. If so that would be wonderful.
I just want a dk game or at least a port of returns.
