If BG3 wins GOTY at the game awards the melt down between Sony, Nintendo, and Xbox fanboys would be incredible. Would make Sony fanboys outraged over elden ring winning over god of war look like a choir boy.

Great game, also very likely to win GOTY in my book.
But we will have to see about Starfield first, MS likely to through enough resource at it to make sure it is an absolute hit, because it needs to be.

Massive Zelda fan. Incredible game and my favorite Zelda game of all time.
But BG3 deserves GotY imo.

Baldurs Gate deserves all the recognition and I’m supporting it. It conveys the right message. I feel Nintendo just played safe with Zelda Totk. A little bit disappointing to be honest.

But BG3 is just something else. Might be the best game I’ve *ever* played and I hope it wins.

TotK is amazing and I hope it wins. BG3 is an excellent game and I’m having a great time with it, but it’s nowhere near TotK

Took a break after beating the first temple and its been tough to come back. Been a few months at this point?
All the the little puzzles and events scattered around the world were fun… But when the game gives you like 5 apples and a rusty sword for everything you do… Idk I just haven’t been drawn to come back in.
And now Starfield is dropping so who knows when I’ll pick it back up lol

Balders Gate 3 and TOTK are pretty much confirmed to sweep all game awards this year ( Starfield might make it into the running too).
Sucks for FFXIV and RE4 remake, but I don’t see them winning any major awards.

That’s a shame. I know I’m in the minority but TOTK really bored me often. I was looking forward to the dungeons and they ended up being more nonsense of the same – explore and hit 5 things within this confined area.
The bosses were fine
But the final battle just wasn’t good neither was the gauntlet to get to it. I much preferred hyrucoe castle from BOTW as the final dungeon as it felt like an old school temple . Simply
navigating and killing moblins in a cave didn’t do it for me
Ganó dorf felt like a sponge taking damage .
Was just a matter of healing constantly and getting lucky
I’m over open world zelda – at least in this style and format. I think too much liberty is bad for the franchise. Oot, TP, WW we’re much more enjoyable adventures and it’s due to the structure it had and in turn the confines the development team had to work within

You can sense the “fuck covid for delaying our games”
So for awards, gamescom or TGA GOTY, it’s a good thing that there are many serious contenders
I think we will have a nintendo direct around TGS, imho, that mario wonder direct is nothing unusual for nintendo (splatoon 3 direct).

Still need to finish this game. I kinda felt burnt out playing it due to how similar it was to BotW. I have no doubt it’s an amazing game though as BotW is one of my favourite games ever.

I’m beginning to think that they played TOTK safe because there’s a new title in the works? Just a theory.
