Starlink Battle for Atlas is currently $12 bucks on the NA eShop. I personally liked it, especially the exclusive Star Fox content.

I liked it, and the Starfox stuff was fun, however I would say that the game drags a lot towards the end and the gameplay loop does get boring after you have to do it again and again.
Every time I thought the game was done, something else happened and I was thinking “does this game ever end?”

It’s fun but a bit repetitive.

The port job is really good as well.
The Switch port was handled by the same porting team who also handled the Switch versions of Final Fantasy 12 and Nier Automata. So yeah, good track record there.

It’s quite good. Never thought I’d be doing casual gathering with a open world Star-Fox clone but somehow it’s always satisfying to do

It’s a good game. And it’s really fun being able to just fly at any moment, go to space, fly to a new planet and fly into it. But yea, like most people have said. It’s repetitive. Same missions different planets. Enemy variety isn’t really there. Kinda gets boring. Fairly worth the money if you buy it for cheap

The Star Fox crew do add a bit more personality to the game which is nice. It’s otherwise a fairly standard open world game. Lots of little things to do but not much special. Not bad if you just want a time waster.
I still recall one mission (I think it was a Star Fox specific one) where you needed to go to a planet and stop a high tech battering ram. From space, you see this tiny little glow on the planet and as you go down to the surface, you just see the glow get bigger and more detailed until you realize that’s the battering ram! That was a great use of the seamless planet travel that sadly wasn’t utilized more. But even today, it’s not a guarantee a space game lets you go from space to planet surface and back without loading screens.

Wish there was a demo before commiting.

You can also get the battle pack with the plastic minis for like, <$20 on eBay, if you want the physical version instead.

fun fact: the extra star fox pilot dlc has never been on sale. i’ll finally buy it the day it does, but until then i’ll just keep on waiting…

The first few hours of this game are genuinely fun, unfortunately they just copy pasted all the missions / environments to fill the rest of the game so it gets old real fast.

It’s worth the 12 dollars imo. I’ve been meaning to play through this again using a different weapon setup. On my first playthrough I used the freeze laser along with a similar looking yellow laser that would give the shatter damage effect from breaking the frozen enemy. It was alot of fun.

Played this for a bit. I really enjoyed the big ship battles

I bought the physical release for the toy and have no regrets.

Definitely one of the most fun games I’ve played on switch.

It was a really good game, dragged down by stuff intended to get you to buy the f$#@ing toys. It suffers from the usual Ubisoft repetitive stuff but traveling and fighting are really satisfying and I would *love* to see a “proper” Star Fox game in this style.

Damn, I was hoping for a sale on the DLCs as well. I have the physical version with the Airwing and two guns but the stores near me stopped selling the other figures, ships, and addons a long time ago.

This must be Elon Musk’s favourite game.
