It really annoyed me how the one girl would constantly just start running to the left for a split second. She kept doing it over and over again and for some reason it irritated the shit out of me. Just back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, then continue on.

Interesting that player with the crown seems to control the camera and it doesn’t seem to be exclusive to player 1 as Luigi became the cameraman when Peach fell, hopefully there’s a button to change who controls the camera or i’ll be forced to play Yoshi and carry the nephews.
Since character abilities like floating or Luigi jump are now badges i wonder if their will be a speed increasing one like toad or the galaxy/Rosalina spinjump as a badge as well

While I’m quite happy with the new ideas, I’m incredibly disappointed they made it so the players can’t collide with each other. The player collision turned Mario into a fun hectic teamwork game, whereas this seems less oriented towards multiplayer.

I’ve been a bit meh on this game so far. Was hoping for a bigger format change but this video is the one to sell me on it. It looks great.

Getting out of Mushroom Kingdom is a great reason to have more diverse landscapes. It doesn’t feel out of place, but feels fresh. Nintendo should continue to explore that, the same way Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine truly stands out and makes it unique, Super Mario Galaxy and Odyssey, etc. For a 2D Mario that feels like a revelation they should continue, since no one really cares for the story reason for being somewhere else.
